The children’s charity is facing unprecedented demand for cash grants from its Urgent Assistance Fund which helps pay for essentials, due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the cost-of-living crisis.
Now they have launched a new national Poverty Relief Appeal to raise funds to help support the country’s most disadvantaged families.
A new TV advert follows eight-year-old ‘Emma’ whose normal family life is turned upside down as they struggle to cope with the financial pressures of the cost-of-living crisis.

“The worst-off families in our communities can simply no longer afford to put the lights on, heat their homes, put food on the table, or buy basic necessities for their children such as a bed or bedding.
“Aberlour’s Urgent Assistance Fund has been a vital means to many in the last two years and every penny donated goes directly to families.
“We are asking anyone that is in a position to contribute – however big or small the amount – to donate via our website. We would be infinitely grateful for the support when it is needed the most.”
