Porcupine Tree - comprising members Steven Wilson, Richard Barbieri and Gavin Harrison - see their eleventh studio album Closure / Continuation enter at Number 2, just behind reigning chart supremo Harry Styles - becoming the group’s first-ever UK Top 5 record.   Prior to this, the English experimental rockers enjoyed two UK Top 40 albums; 2007’s Fear of a Blank Planet (31) and 2009 release The Incident (23) and a further three Top 100 outings. Yossman Director James Marsh is set to direct a new hybrid animated documentary feature for Submarine and Sandpaper Films.“Oasis, Saving the Baghdad Zoo” (working title), is a feature-length animated documentary partly based on “Babylon’s Ark,” the book about a year-long rescue mission of animals abandoned across Baghdad by Saddam Hussein and his son Uday.Billed as a 21st century Noah’s Ark, the film will show how a team of American soldiers, Iraqi zookeepers, and international volunteers tended to lions, camels, bears, exotic birds, monkeys, pigs and even an ocelot in the middle of a brutal war, risking their own lives in the process.

Well, Parklife 2022 certainly didn't disappoint. Back in it's usual June spot, following a September stint in 2021 - due to Covid restrictions - the two-day festival, which welcomed more than 80,000 festival goers each day, was one for the books.

The music world is mourning the loss of Alec John Such, the founding bassist in the American rock band Bon Jovi, who died at age 70. Jon Bon Jovi took to Instagram to share the sad news, writing, “We are heartbroken to hear the news of the passing of our dear friend Alec John Such,” the frontman said. “He was an original.
