2020 Grammys: Nipsey Hussle's Partner Lauren London Accepts Best Rap Performance Award In His Honor

Ava DuVernay is set to direct a documentary about the late rapper Nipsey Hussle, according to multiple outlets. The feature-length film is headed to Netflix after the streaming platform reportedly beat out Apple TV and Amazon in a bidding war for the rights to the film.

The updated Spanish-style structure, originally built in 1949, is tucked away behind walls and gates in the leafy and increasingly desirable San Fernando Valley community of Sherman Oaks.

DJ Khaled, John Legend, and the late Nipsey Hussle have taken home the award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration tonight at the 62nd Annual Grammy Award. Khaled’s 2019 single “Higher” beat out songs by Lil Baby and Gunna (“Drip Too Hard”), Lil Nas X (“Panini”), Mustard and Roddy Ricch (“Ballin”), and Young Thug, J. Cole, and Travis Scott (“The London”).

The 62nd Grammy Awards celebrated the best of the best in the recording industry on Sunday night as a bevy of artists took the stage as presenters, performers, and winners.

Singer and actress Lauren London celebrated her late partner Nipsey Hussle’s first Grammy Awards win on Sunday (26Jan20), as she joined the rapper’s brother and grandmother onstage at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Late rapper Nipsey Hussle was honored at the 2020 Grammy Awards with a star-studded tribute performance just hours after winning his first Grammy posthumously.

Lauren London wore a special accessory in honor of her longtime love at the 2020 GRAMMYs. 

Tonight at the 2020 Grammys, Meek Mill, DJ Khaled, John Legend, YG, Roddy Ricch, and Kirk Franklin all took to the stage for a tribute to the late rapper Nipsey Hussle. The performance opened with Meek and Roddy before transitioning into “Higher,” DJ Khaled’s song with Nipsey and John Legend. YG, donning all red, appeared on stage to perform afterwards.

Beyoncé appears to be a no-show at the 2020 Grammy Awards. The superstar is up for four awards this year, including Best Pop Solo Performance.

Before DJ Khaled, John Legend, and a host of others pay tribute to Nipsey Hussle tonight, the Los Angeles rapper became a Grammy winner for the first time.
