Wet Leg have teased what their next album might sound like, as well as discussing what it was like to be covered by Harry Styles and Pearl Jam. Watch our video interview with the band above.The Domino-signed indie duo were speaking to NME on the red carpet at the Mercury Prize 2022 last night (October 19), where they joked about the progress of the follow-up to their acclaimed self-titled debut album.“Completed it, mate! Just kidding!” said Hester Chambers, adding that the new album will take in “a bit of this and a bit of that, probably”.Revealing that they’ll be spending much of the next year writing the next record, singer Rhian Teasdale said that fans should expect it to be “like the last one, but longer, bigger, better, faster, stronger and more fluorescent.”The pair also spoke about the “surreal” experience of having one of their songs covered by Harry Styles, and how being covered by Pearl Jam was “very strange and funny and cool”.“It’s just strange when people know that you exist, who you wouldn’t have thought would know you exist,” Teasdale said.

Former member of Wet Leg claims he “should get recognised” for co-writing songs

Wet Leg has alleged his contribution to several songs wasn’t “recognised” by the band.The former member, who is also the ex-partner of member Rhian Teasdale, has spoken to The Times, claiming he wasn’t given songwriting credits on several songs. He also claims the band name came from a conversation he had with his brother and not, as the band have explained previously, via combining emojis at random on a keyboard.The band are led by Hester Chambers (lead guitarist and backing vocalist) and Teasdale (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), alongside Ellis Durand (bass, backing vocals) and Henry Holmes (drums, percussion)Speaking about the band name, Doug Richards claimed: “For years me and a couple of friends had lists of stupid band names,” he explained. “Anytime you’d think of a funny combination of words you’d write it down.

For the first time, the festival will be live on YouTube across all six stages on both weekends starting April 14 at 4:00 p.m. PT and continuing on April 21 at the same time. Wet Leg have died following illnesses.Miniature donkey Angelica, who has the same name as the fifth single released from their self-titled 2022 debut album, died on Saturday (March 25). And older donkey called Jill died on the same day.Last year, Wet Leg became the first celebrity ambassadors to the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary.The charity told BBC News that both animals had been “closely monitored for a while and both had various health issues that were causing concern”.Wet Leg, who are from the Isle of Wight, first adopted a donkey named Archie Baby from the sanctuary.

S Club 7 have discussed the possibility of returning to the studio after announcing a reunion tour in celebration of their 25th anniversary.The pop group have reunited once before, for a UK arena tour in 2015, but haven’t released any new music since their 2003 farewell single ‘Love Ain’t Gonna Wait For You’ / ‘Say Goodbye’.At a press conference in London earlier this week (February 14), band member Jon Lee described the prospect of adding to their discography as “exciting”.“It’s something that we have spoken about and something that we would all be up for, but at the minute we’re just seeing how the tour goes first,” Lee added.During their original run, S Club 7 released four studio albums and scored 11 consecutive UK Top Five hits with bangers including ‘Bring It All Back’, ‘Never Had A Dream Come True’, ‘Don’t Stop Movin”, ‘Natural’ and ‘Reach’.However, the band confirmed this week that there is still space in their setlist for deep cuts. “We had loads of album tracks, B-sides [and] songs that were performed on the TV series that [our fans] have never seen us perform live before, so we’d love to hear via social media if there’s anything they would love to see,” Lee said.Meanwhile, Lee’s bandmate Tina Barrett revealed that she is a fan of Wet Leg after catching their performance at last weekend’s BRIT Awards.

Wet Leg have become the latest act to be interviewed by Nardwuar – check out the video below.The Isle Of Wight duo – comprising Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers – took time out to speak to the legendary Canadian music journalist (aka the Human Serviette) during their current North American tour.As is customary on the channel, Nardwuar – who’s known for his unorthodox and enthusiastic interviewing techniques – gifted Wet Leg with various gifts throughout the chat, including an original Velvet Underground postcard from 1968.He also asked Teasdale about the time she spent working at the Robin Hill theme park on the Isle Of Wight.Speaking about the “big bird costumes” she had to wear for the job, the singer explained: “You have to put the legs on and then you get inside. Glastonbury Festival, a number of artists have seen an uplift on the UK’s Official Albums Chart this week.According to new Official Charts Company data, artists including Billie Eilish, Sam Fender, Diana Ross and Wet Leg have seen a boost in their sales and streams after their Glastonbury sets.Billie Eilish, who became the festival’s youngest-ever headliner on Friday (June 24), has enjoyed a jump in this week’s Official Albums Chart Top 40. Her last album ‘Happier Than Ever’ had an 84 per cent week-on-week boost to its combined weekly sales and streams in total, placing it on Number 10.Previous album, 2019’s ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’, is also up by 36 spots to Number 25, while Eilish’s debut ‘Don’t Smile At Me’ makes it to Number 39.Elsewhere, Sam Fender’s ‘Seventeen Going Under’ doubles its weekly sales and streams tally, surging 110 per cent week on week while enjoying a jump of 44 chart places back into the Official Albums Chart Top 20 (19). The album’s title tack has also risen 40 places to Number 20.Wet Leg’s sales and streams of their eponymous debut album are up 71 per cent over the past seven days, while Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘SOUR’ enjoys a 30 per cent weekly boost and Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Mr.
