Jaden Thompson Blumhouse and Lionsgate have unveiled the trailer for the upcoming horror film “Imaginary,” set for a March 8 release. Directed by Jeff Wadlow, “Imaginary” stars DeWanda Wise as Jessica, a woman returning to live in her childhood home with her family. Once moved in, her stepdaughter Alice becomes infatuated with Chauncey, a stuffed bear found in the basement.
Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter “The Walking Dead” actor Tom Payne and Broadway veteran Betty Buckley have joined the cast of Blumhouse‘s next movie “Imaginary,” a horror-thriller led by DeWanda Wise. Taegan Burns (“The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers”), Pyper Braun (“Desperation Road”), Matthew Sato (“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series”) and Veronica Falcón (“Jungle Cruise”) will round out the cast. Lionsgate is releasing the film on March 8, 2024.

The film, marking the feature directorial debut of Peruvian-American filmmaker Gustavo Martin, will also star amateur MMA fighter Vishy Ayyar and professional MMA fighter Andrew Gray.
Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired North American rights to “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe,” a queer coming-of-age story about two teens who form a special bond after a chance meeting one summer. The sale comes a few months after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Blue Fox is planning a wide theatrical release of the film this summer, though the exact date has yet to be determined. Blue Fox’s international division is handling the international sales. “It’s rare when a best-selling book, talented crew, amazing director and cast all come together to create a ‘must see’ film, and we are very proud to bring ‘Aristotle and Dante’ to audiences across the U.S.,” said Blue Fox executive James Huntsman.

The project was originally ordered to pilot at HBO Max in September 2020. Serratos joins previously announced cast members Veronica Falcón, Yvette Monreal, Georgie Flores, and Ceci Fernandez. The show is inspired by the reporting of journalist Amy Chozick. Per the official description, “‘More’ follows the Lorenz family, a tight-knit clan of seemingly flawless Latinas led by mom/mastermind Leona (Falcón). The Lorenzes are the Vanderbilts or the Astors of the Instagram era. They pulled their way up from debt and obscurity to reality TV stardom and forged a billion-dollar mega-conglomerate not from oil or steel but from something more elusive and modern: Influence.”

The show originally launched in 2019 when Paramount+ was still known as CBS All Access, with Season 2 airing between June and July of 2021.“Paramount+ has made the difficult decision not to move forward with Season 3 of ‘Why Women Kill,'” a Paramount+ spokesperson said in a statement to Variety.
