NewJeans have dropped two music videos for their new single ‘Cool With You’, starring Squid Game actress Jung Ho-yeon and legendary Hong Kong actor Tony Leung.In the first video for ‘Cool With You’, dubbed the “A side”, Jung Ho-yeon stars as a someone who appears to be completely invisible in life, with NewJeans playing the angels who are watching over her.Jung takes a trip to a museum, where she falls for a man at first sight, following him around the city while he remains completely obvious to her existence. At the end of the clip, Jung strips off her clothes and takes a walk in the rain.“You may be on my mind / Everyday baby, say you’re mine / You and me on my mind / Everywhere, baby, say you’re mine / It feels cool with you,” the girl group sing on the chorus of their new song.Meanwhile, the “B side” video for ‘Cool With You’ seemingly picks up with the first clip left off, with Jung in the rain.

Legal drama A Guilty Conscience took the top award for best film at this year’s Hong Kong Film Awards, while crime thriller The Goldfinger was the biggest winner overall with six prizes, including best actor for Tony Leung Chiu-wai. 

The Goldfinger ( or maybe just ‘Goldfinger’) where Tony Leung is re-teaming with Andy Lau and director and screenwriter Felix Chong for the first time since the Infernal Affairs movies. The film is described as a crime movie and will reportedly be set in the 1980s.Simon Yam, Philip Keung, Alex Fong Chung-sun, Charlene Choi, Chin Ka-lok, and Carlos Chan are also among the cast.The synopsis is as follows: Set in the 1980s, the film depicts cut-throat machinations between Hong Kong’s jostling business elites amidst the backdrop of the tail end of British colonial rule. It tells the story of the rise and bust of a fictional Hong Kong company called Jiali Group, following the travails of its chairman Cheng Yiyan through 15 years of investigations by the Independent Commission Against Corruption as murders are committed, billions in market value evaporate and millions are spent on litigation fees.No release date as yet for this one but we’ll keep you posted.

K-pop girl group NewJeans have released a new music video for their song ‘ASAP’On July 26 at Midnight KST, the quartet dropped the dreamy music video for ‘ASAP’, one of six tracks from their new mini-album ‘Get Up’ which arrived last week.The new visual reimagines the girl group as ethereal forest fairies who are followed around by creatures with glowing eyes in the dark. These are later revealed to be bunnies, NewJeans’ official mascot, in the daylight.“ASAP baby, hurry up don’t be lazy / ASAP baby, hurry up don’t say maybe / ASAP baby, hurry up don’t say maybe,” they sing on the chorus, before the song’s instrumental break.‘ASAP’ is the sixth and final track on the girl group’s sophomore mini-album to receive the music video treatment.

Sad news for fans hoping to see a Shang-Chi sequel anytime soon.

Naman Ramachandran “Emily in Paris” star Lucas Bravo is thankful to George Clooney and Julia Roberts, who starred with him in hit 2022 romcom “Ticket to Paradise.” The dashing French star, who is also known for “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris,” was speaking at a press meet for the 16th Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, where he is a presenter. “George and Julia happen to be the most generous, kind and protective people I’ve ever worked with — they go out of their way to make the set a safe place,” Bravo said. “They gave me an opportunity to improvise, they made me feel loved and accepted. And I’ve learned with them that the bigger the star, the nicer the person, so it gives me a lot of fuel for the rest of my career.”

Over the course of 144 minutes, Philip Yung’s true-crime drama Where the Wind Blows covers an awful lot of ground. An epic in the style Sergio Leone’s Once Upon A Time in New York, it pairs Asian superstars Tony Leung and Aaron Kwok in a story spanning several decades of police corruption in Hong Kong during its time as a British colony. The detail is sometimes dense, but the tone turns playful and refreshingly light at times, and there’s even a memorable musical routine for “The God of Dance” Kwok.

Leung will collect his award at the festival’s opening ceremony on Oct. 5. 2022. The festival will open with a screening of “Scent of a Wind” by Iranian director Hagi Mohaghegh. Busan organizers said that the festival will play a total of 243 films (features and shorts) from 71 countries and territories. These include 89 world premieres and 13 international premieres.

Martin Scorsese’s Boston gangster movie “The Departed” was loosely based on the thrilling Hong Kong crime epic “Infernal Affairs” that starred Asian superstars Tony Leung and Andy Lau. Well, the pair of actors are reuniting for a new thriller, “Goldfinger,” aka, “Once Upon A Time In Hong Kong,” that will be written/directed by Felix Chong, who penned the “Infernal Affairs” trilogy.
