Cercamon is selling the film this week at EFM before it continues its festival run at SXSW. “Fancy Dance” stars Lily Gladstone as a young woman, Jax, who’s cared for her niece Roki (Isabel Deroy-Olson) since the girl’s mother disappeared. Scraping by on the Seneca-Cayuga Reservation in Oklahoma, she spends every spare minute trying to find her missing sister while also helping Roki prepare for an upcoming powwow.

EXCLUSIVE: Multi-hyphenate filmmaker, producer and financier Tommy Oliver has signed with CAA for representation of Confluential Films, his award-winning, Black-owned and -founded film, television, and docu production company and financier. CAA will also represent Oliver personally, as a writer-director, outside of Confluential.

Tammie Frank, the widow of actor and mixed martial arts star Jason David Frank, has revealed he died by suicide. Frank’s death was confirmed on November 20. At the time, no cause of death was provided, however reports indicated suicide.

The Kid LAROI has opened up about witnessing Juice WRLD’s final moments in the Tommy Oliver-directed documentary Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss.The Sydney-born rapper was present during Juice WRLD’s death, as they were travelling in a group from Los Angeles to Chicago. The late Chicago rapper died after suffering a seizure at Midway Airport in Chicago in December 2019.Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss premiered on HBO on December 16, looking at the life and career of the rapper.

HBO has released the first full trailer for Juice WRLD: Into the Abyss, an upcoming documentary on the late Chicago rapper. The film is directed by Tommy Oliver and will be available to stream on HBO Max on December 16.

Film producer and President of the Latinx arts advocacy group Nosotros Joel M. Gonzales has been named Senior Vice-President and Head of Latinx Content at Confluential Films. In his new role, Gonzales will work alongside Confluential Films founder, Tommy Oliver; Executive Vice President, Mel Jones; and Head of Development, Jonny Paterson on the diverse development of non-stereotypical Latinx storytelling for Confluential Films.
