Fox has renewed both 9-1-1 and spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star for new seasons. The network has ordered a fifth season of the hit first-responders procedural drama series 9-1-1 from Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Tim Minear, and a third season of spinoff 9-1-1: Lone Star.  

Gina Torres is first on the scene on 9-1-1: Lone Star.The alum reunites with producer Tim Minear, co-creator on the spinoff, on season 2 of Fox's first responder drama as Paramedic Captain Tommy Vega, who returns to the field eight years after stepping away to raise her twin daughters. When COVID-19 causes her husband's restaurant to close, Tommy returns to Austin, Texas, and re-enters the workforce to help support her family.
