EastEnders' Annette Badland looks worlds away from Aunt Babe as she teases return

Annette Badland looked worlds away from her former EastEnders character Aunt Babe on Friday. The Ted Lasso star, 72, appeared on ITV's Loose Women to talk about her career, as well as to raise awareness of Ovarian Cancer. Annette, who first joined EastEnders in 2014 before leaving in 2017, looked almost unrecognisable as she ditched her honey blonde fringe bob for a glamorous tousled white hairdo, adding a slick of radiant make-up.

Bill Lawrence Gives Update on ‘Scrubs’ Reunion Movie: ‘It’s Inevitable’

Emily Longeretta Nine months ago, the “Scrubs” cast and creator reunited for a panel and shared their plans for a future project together — likely a movie. While it hasn’t actually begun just yet, it’s only a matter of time, according to creator Bill Lawrence. “In the greatest way, the cast of that show and the writers are so good that they’re all working. And the main reason to do something like that isn’t the work, it’s because we actually love hanging out,” Lawrence told Variety in a recent interview while promoting Apple TV+’s “Shrinking.” That’s the reason they continuously get together — whether it’s for ATX TV Festival or for dinner and drinks. In a way, it’s a tradition he’s made with the casts and crew of many of his shows, including “Cougar Town,” “Spin City” and “Ted Lasso.”

‘Shrinking’ Creators and Cast Reveal Season 2 (and 3!) Themes, Reflect on Each Character’s Process of Grief

SPOILER ALERT: This article contains spoilers for Season 1 of “Shrinking.” You’ve heard this before, but Bill Lawrence already knows when his show is going to close. “We pitched three seasons — the beginning, middle and end,” he says. No, not “Ted Lasso,” which is widely known to have been planned as a three-season arc, even if the team involved won’t confirm that the current season is the last one. It’s different with “Shrinking.” “It does not have a sports season component to it the same way that that’s a function of the story. Like, ‘I wonder if they win or lose!'” Lawrence says. “Part of the fun for me in doing shows with, like, Jason Segel and Harrison Ford, is that you can tell actors that you’ve always wanted to work with, ‘If you give me three seasons, that’s fine if you want to split.’ So all I can tell you is that all the gang that we roped in for this one was down for doing that.”

premiered on Apple TV+ and would forever change life as he knew it. The British actor, comedian, and writer was already carving out a name for himself in the business—but playing Roy Kent, an aging all-star soccer player with a penchant for foul language and a heart of gold, has earned him multiple Emmys, a global following, and coveted (by my standards, at least) appearances on Sesame Street and Fraggle Rock. And yet, on that late summer night, he wasn't sure if anyone would watch Ted Lasso, let alone become obsessed with it. “I was terrified,” Goldstein tells Glamour via Zoom ahead of the season three premiere in Los Angeles.

'Ted Lasso' Season 3 Premiere: Bad Rankings and Breakups Make for a Melancholy Return to Richmond

finally returned on Wednesday, debuting the first episode of its third — and likely final — season. However, for a show that's built a reputation on gentle, feel-good comedy, it seems like the final part of the journey might be a bit heavy, as nearly all of our favorite characters start out the season dealing with some darkness in their lives.First, there's Ted (Jason Sudeikis), who is starting to have some existential questions about why he's still across the pond after all — especially after a long visit from his son, Henry (Gus Turner), and a viral moment when he's spotted taking the AFC Richmond team down into the London sewers. (It's a metaphor!)Then there's Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), who's become obsessed with the fact that Richmond is last in nearly every pre-season ranking, while West Ham United is toward the top of each list, headed up by the sinister combination of her ex-husband, Rupert (Anthony Head), and former Richmond kit man Nate (Nick Mohammed). And finally, Keeley (Juno Temple) and Roy (Brett Goldstein) save the biggest heartbreak for last, confirming that the tension between them at the end of season 2 did ultimately lead to a split — though it seems they don't see eye to eye about whether it was a «break» or a «breakup.»Ultimately, by episode's end, there are some things to feel good about.

Ted Lasso” is to Apple: CEO Tim Cook was among the hundreds gathered in Westwood last week for the show’s Season 3 premiere. Such events are normally a bit more low-key by the time a series reaches its third season. But not “Ted Lasso,” which filled the 1,400-person-capacity Regency Village Theatre, followed by a party that drew 700 RSVPs — and yes, Cook was there too, holding court at Brentwood’s tony Baltaire eatery.  “Ted Lasso” is a show that is still at its pop culture peak. That’s why, as the Emmy-winning comedy returns to Apple TV+ on March 15, its fate is on everyone’s minds — including star Jason Sudeikis.

Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis as the sweet, optimistic American college football coach who relocates from Kansas to London for a new challenge. The first episode of season three premieres today (March 15) on Apple TV+ and sees Lasso’s mighty AFC Richmond return to the Premier League after being relegated at the end of the first season. However, with former assistant coach Nate Shelly (Nick Mohammed) going to work for former boss Rupert (Anthony Head) at West Ham United, it looks as if there’ll be plenty of conflict across season three’s 12 episodes.Tasked with coaching struggling Premier League side AFC Richmond, Ted Lasso features a lot of real world London locations alongside scenes shot at West London Studios.Shots of AFC Richmond’s training ground are actually filmed at The SkyEx Community Stadium in Hayes, Middlesex, which is home to Hayes And Yeading FC. The stadium is located near to West London Studios and is a 15-minute train ride from London’s Paddington Station.AFC Richmond’s home ground Nelson Road aka the Dog Pound is actually Selhurst Park, which is the home of real-world Premier League side Crystal Palace.
