Over the course of three months, Cindy Snow went from a hot prospect to a shoo-in for series pickup that was announced at Fox’s upfront presentation to a show returned to its producers to shop elsewhere.

Dead Boy Detectives has just been released on Netflix, but what songs are on the soundtrack? The series is based on the DC Comics characters of the same name, created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, while the show has been helmed by Steve Yockey, who also developed The Flight Attendant. It stars George Rexstrew and Jayden Revri as the titular detectives Charles Rowland and Edwin Paine, who opt not to enter the afterlife, but to stay on Earth and investigate crimes involving the supernatural.

The series centers Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), who helm the Dead Boy Detectives agency. Teenagers born decades apart who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts who solve mysteries.

UPDATED 7 AM: Netflix has unveiled the official trailer for Dead Boy Detectives ahead of its April 25 premiere. “Welcome to the Dead Boy Detective Agency,” the trailer begins. “We help ghosts resolve their mysteries. Ghosts who cannot let go.”

Katcy Stephan Allison Janney is joining the cast of Amazon MGM Studios’ “A Simple Favor 2.” The actor will join returning cast members Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick in the sequel to Paul Feig’s hit 2018 mystery-comedy film. The sequel will follow Stephanie (Kendrick) and Emily (Lively) as they head to the beautiful island of Capri for Emily’s extravagant wedding to a wealthy Italian businessman.

Good news for Star Trek fans – the fourth movie is still happening!

Joe Otterson TV Reporter Lukas Gage has joined the cast of the “Dead Boy Detectives” series at HBO Max, Variety has learned. The eight-episode series was ordered at HBO Max back in April. It is based on the DC comics of the same name as well as “The Sandman,” from characters created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner. The official series description states, “It’s a fresh take on a ghost story that explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson). So, it’s a lot like a vintage detective series — only darker and on acid.”

Kaley Cuoco is headed to Peacock!

EXCLUSIVE: Announced prematurely during Fox’s pre-taped 2022 upfront presentation in May, dark comedy Cindy Snow will not be airing on the network this coming season after all. Following months of back-and-forth between Fox and series’ producer Warner Bros. Television, the network has allowed the studio to shop Cindy Snow, from The Flight Attendant creator Steve Yockey, to other outlets, and WBTV is expected to do so. Depending on how that goes, I hear there is still a possibility for Fox and WBTV to make a deal for Cindy Snow to air on Fox in fall 2023.
