(He’s told that the world has already ended several times, including once in the ’60s when Russia and America launched nuclear warheads at each other — but The Lazarus Project was able to undo it). Essiedu, 32, said he enjoys series in which time travel plays a main role.“I loved ‘Russian Doll.’ I haven’t watched the second [season] yet but I thought the first one was brilliant,” he told The Post. “‘Back to the Future’ is a classic.

Alison Hammond has landed herself another huge TV gig as she's set to appear on new Sky quiz show On Demand. The 48 year old star, who rubbed shoulders with Royalty as Kate Middleton and Prince William visited Birmingham on Thursday, will be a team captain on the TV show alongside comedian Josh Widdecombe. The programme, hosted by Rob Beckett, is based on Never Mind The Buzzcocks and will see celebrities compete against each other to see who knows the most about television.

Leo Barraclough International Features Editor Eco-thriller “The Swarm,” which premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, has been acquired in the U.K. by pay-TV operator Sky. Negotiations with a U.S. partner are in the final stages. The show, produced by multiple Primetime Emmy award winner and “Game of Thrones” executive producer Frank Doelger and NDF IP’s managing director Eric Welbers, is set to play on the Sky Max channel in the U.K. later this year. “The Swarm” scored huge ratings in Germany on ZDF and on Austria’s ORF. In Germany, it attracted up to 10 million views per episode (linear and catch-up combined), multiple prime time wins, and big successes within the younger target group (between the ages of 14-49).

McKinley Franklin author TNT has announced an official premiere date for its scripted action thriller “The Lazarus Project,” which was previously set to come out earlier this year. “The Lazarus Project” will make its debut on Sunday, June 4 at 9 p.m. ET. The eight-hour drama will follow the story of George, The Lazarus Project’s latest recruit. The organization holds the power to travel back in time at any moment when the world may be on the brink of extinction. When one of George’s closest friends suffers an accident, he has to come to answer the question — “if you had the power to re-write your past, what would you sacrifice to do it?”  The television series was originally set to release on January 8 but was shelved by its parent company, Warner Bros. Discovery, as it continues to adjust its linear network strategy. “The Lazarus Project” was acquired from the U.K.’s Sky Max, which aired Season 1 in June 2022. The show is now one of the few original scripted series left on TNT, as WBD has wiped most of the original fare off of TBS/TNT in favor of mostly acquired movies and TV repeats, along with sports.

Elsa Keslassy International Correspondent Pascal Breton’s European banner Federation Entertainment (“The Bureau”) has acquired a majority stake in Vertigo Films, the U.K. production company behind the hit TV shows “Britannia” and “Bulletproof.” The London-based company is also the producer of B.O. films such as “StreetDance 3D,” “The Sweeney” and award-winning titles including Gareth Edwards’s “Monsters” and Nicolas Winding Refn’s “Bronson.“ Founded 20 years ago by executive producers Allan Niblo and James Richardson, Vertigo is currently in post-production with Jez Butterworth’s new comedy-drama series “Mammals,” starring James Corden and Sally Hawkins for Amazon, and the 1980s-set gangster epic “A Town Called Malice” by Nick Love for Sky Max. The banner just wrapped principal photography on a new film for Sky Cinema, with further details to be announced at a later date.  

Sir Mo Farah, Sir Trevor MacDonald, and Jennifer Saunders will be among the celebrity guest managers in the new 'Fantasy Football League' series. The show is back from September 29th for a 16-episode series with new hosts, Matt Lucas and Elis James, on a new channel, Sky Max, and Sky have confirmed the likes of Succession’s Brian Cox and singer Tom Grennan will also feature in the new-look programme, which is returning after 18 years. Each week a pair of celebrity guest managers will join Matt and Elis to discuss the week in football and share their fantasy teams from the digital dugout.

Caroline Flack's mother Christine got emotional while hearing the song that was played at her daughter's funeral.The late TV presenter, who passed away in February 2020, was honoured last month at Flackstock Festival in Reading, Berkshire. A documentary about the festival aired on Sky Max and Sky Showcase on Sunday 28 August.

Former Love Island host Caroline Flack is set to be remembered in a star-studded festival which will also be made into a TV documentary.The programme will see viewers share their happy memories of Caroline, who tragically died in 2020 after taking her own life. Following her untimely passing, Laura Whitmore took over her presenting duties on the ITV2 dating show. Flackstock will see performers such as Natalie Imbruglia, Louise Redknapp, Tom Grennan, Lucie Jones, Pixie Lott, Fleur East and The Overtones come together for the late TV star.

Former Coronation Street star Michelle Keegan ’s latest on-screen project has been revealed. The 34 year old, who recently sparked rumours she’s returning to Our Girl when she jetted off on an “adventure”, has secured a role in the new six-part series Ten Pound Poms. Created by the team behind Netflix's Sex Education, the BBC period drama will tell the story of a group of Brits who have swapped post-war Britain for a new life in Australia during the 1950s.
