Cooper directed the Netflix film, co-wrote it with Josh Singer and stars as Bernstein. Various cast members have reunited over the years, but it sounds like Black is plotting an epic reunion to celebrate 20 years of “School of Rock.” “All those kids — dig this — they were 10 years old when we made that movie and now they’re all, like, 30,” Black said. “We’re gonna get together and have a 20-year anniversary. We like to jam. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the grownups from ‘School of Rock.'” Black added that he will “100 percent” use social media to upload photos and videos from the upcoming reunion. “School Rock,” directed by Richard Linklater and written by “The White Lotus” creator Mike White, starred Black as Dewey Finn, a down-on-his-luck guitarist who puts together a makeshift band of kid musicians while substitute teaching at a prep school. White, Sarah Silverman and Joan Cusack also starred in the film, while the child actors included Miranda Cosgrove.

Ronny Chieng, Michael Kosta, Desi Lydic, Dulcé Sloan, Roy Wood Jr., Lewis Black and Jordan Klepper will all get a chance to host the program between the week of April 3 and the week of May 8, Comedy Central announced Friday. Roy Wood Jr. will start the rotation during the week of April 3, followed by Jordan Klepper the week of April 17. Desi Lydic will host the program the week of April 24 ,and Dulce Sloan will anchor the series the week of May 1. Michael Kosta will lead during the week of May 8. Ronny Chieng and Lewis Black have not been assigned weeks as of yet.

A popular standup TV franchise is making a comeback. Scott Koondel’s Sox Entertainment has acquired global rights to Caroline’s Comedy Hour, which ran on A&E Network from 1989-96. Koondel, former CBS Chief Content and Licensing Officer, plans to produce new installments, which he will shop alongside 100 library episodes from the show’s original run as a lower-cost comedy programming alternative for cable networks and streamers.
