Bailey Bass won’t be continuing in the role of Claudia for Season 2 of AMC’s “Interview With a Vampire,” the network announced late Friday. “Bailey Bass is a talented actor who did a remarkable job bringing the character of Claudia to life in Anne Rice’s ‘Interview With the Vampire.’ For a variety of reasons, Delainey Hayles will appear as Claudia in season two.

During a panel at the Summer TCA press tour on Wednesday, the cast of AMC’s adaptation of “Interview With the Vampire” discussed how (and why) they’re not trying to “compete” with the 1994 film adaptation starring Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise. In fact, series leads Jacob Anderson (who plays Louis) and Sam Reid (who plays Lestat) were enthusiastic that the two versions can coexist as the new interpretation has the privilege of drawing from the complete series of books.“I love that movie. ABC’s six-part drama series The News Reader premiered on August 15.. The series stars Anna Torv and Sam Reid and details the relationship forged between the aspiring reporter and established news reader, in the smoked filled newsrooms of the late 1980’s.
