The show will air live at 8 p.m. ET and PT. “Celebrating one of our biggest nights in music with the Garden State’s incredible fans has been our goal since last year’s highly successful event,” said Bruce Gillmer, President of Music, Music Talent, Programming & Events, Paramount and Chief Content Officer, Music, Paramount+. Last year’s show was hosted by Nicki Minaj, who was honored during the show with the Video Vanguard Award, while the Global Icon Award was given to the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

Iggy Pop has shared a new mini-documentary that features an in-depth conversation with Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea – watch below.The 26-minute film, titled Bitten By Flea!, sees the two musicians sit down together to talk about a range of topics, including The Stooges‘ influence on Flea, their experiences working with producer Andrew Watt, and Pop’s commitment to starting the morning with “a good face”.“If you’re not in a good mood – fool yourself, motherfucker! Don’t get down, don’t let yourself get down,” the legendary singer continues before mimicking a chirpy TV morning show host.Elsewhere, Pop recalls receiving an open letter from U2 frontman Bono: “He said, ‘In rock ‘n’ roll, or modern popular music, there is a sort of regency in which certain people occupy the castle and pull up the drawbridge. Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea has announced that he is launching a new podcast.Entitled This Little Light, the 15-part series will see him sharing his musical memories with the likes of Rick Rubin, Cynthia Erivo, Thundercat, Patti Smith, and Margo Price on topics including first teachers, early influences, experiences, and how all these lessons shaped their creativity and careers.A portion of the proceeds from the podcast will go towards the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, a non-profit music school and organisation that Flea founded in 2001.“I wanted to do This Little Light to benefit my music school, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music,” Flea said in a statement via Rolling Stone. “The idea behind it being music education, falling in love with music and embarking on a musical journey for your life.

Dead Kennedys drummer DH Peligro – real name Darren Henley – has died, aged 63, after sustaining a head injury in a fall at his home in LA.A statement from the band explains: “He died from trauma to his head from an accidental fall. Arrangements are pending [and] will be announced in the coming days.

DH Peligro, a drummer for Dead Kennedys and Red Hot Chili Peppers, passed away on Friday, aged 63. The musician died from head injuries after falling at his home in Los Angeles, California.

Drummer D.H. Peligro (real name: Darren Henley) died at his home in Los Angeles on Friday. Police reported that he died from a trauma to the head caused by an accidental fall.

Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins took place over the weekend, with his surviving bandmates, Liam Gallagher, Queen, Travis Barker and Rush among the plethora of artists performing.At its opening on Saturday September 3, the event was promised by Foo Fighters’ Dave Grohl to be “a gigantic fucking night for a gigantic fucking person” – spanning nearly six hours with a set list of 50 songs.
