The actor’s beloved role in Sam Raimi’s “Spider-Man” remains his most recognizable performance, and he reprised Green Goblin to rave reviews in 2021’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home.” Dafoe told Inverse in a recent interview to promote his new thriller, “Inside,” that a third go-around with the Spider-Man villain is not out of the question. “If everything was right, sure,” Dafoe said. “I mean, that’s a great role. I liked the fact that it’s a double role both times. Twenty years ago, and fairly recently, both times [were] very different experiences, but I had a good time on both.”

Sources tell Variety that Andrew Garfield, Oscar Isaac and Mia Goth are in early talks to star in Netflix’s live-action “Frankenstein” movie, which del Toro will write and direct. Del Toro has been developing the project, based on English author Mary Shelley’s 1818 novel, for several years, but it’s unclear how faithful he intends to interpret the source material. “Frankenstein” is part of the filmmaker’s multi-year deal with Netflix, where del Toro has a number of projects in various stages of development. Conversations about “Frankenstein” are in the very early stages, sources tell Variety.

Drew Barrymore has been tapped to host the 2023 MTV Movie & TV Awards. Honoring the best in movies and television, the annual awards shindig will air live from the Barker Hanger in Los Angeles on Sunday, May 7 at 8 PM ET/PT. I’ve known Val for decades,” Cruise said during a recent appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live.” “For him to come back and play that character…he’s such a powerful actor, that he instantly became that character again…you’re looking at Iceman.”

Marvel had one of its biggest hits ever with Holland’s third-outing, “Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which became the first pandemic release to gross over $1 billion worldwide. “All I will say is that we have the story,” Feige said about Holland’s anticipated “Spider-Man” return. “We have big ideas for that, and our writers are just putting pen to paper now.” Whether Holland will once again team up with “Spider-Man” actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield remains to be seen. Both actors have expressed interest in returning for a new “Spider-Man” movie.
