Pete Davidson damaged his car after leaving his stand-up show in Los Angeles, according to reports.The comedian, who performed at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Saturday (September 30), is said to have scraped his car against the side of a wall while exiting the venue at 10pm.As seen in photos obtained by PageSix, several marks were seen on the side of his black GMC SUV from the middle door to the backwheel, with Davidson seen in the driver’s seat alongside four others in the car.Davidson has not commented on the incident.In July, the comedian was charged with reckless driving after crashing his car into a fire hydrant and the side of a house in Beverly Hills, California on March 4. He was ordered to serve 50 hours of community service as part of a 18-month “diversion programme”.According to TMZ at the time, Davidson was accompanied by his Bupkis co-star Chase Sui Wonders in the car.

Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Neon has acquired worldwide rights to Ava DuVernay’s “Origin” ahead of its world premiere in competition at the Venice Film Festival. The movie, starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Jon Bernthal, Niecy Nash-Betts, will also screen at the Toronto International Film Festival. “Origin” will be released in theaters later this year.

Jaden Thompson Prime Video has announced that Christmas movie “Candy Cane Lane,” starring Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross, will be released exclusively on the streaming platform on Dec. 1. Directed by Reginald Hudlin, “Candy Cane Lane” follows Murphy as Chris, a man who is determined to win his neighborhood’s annual Christmas home decoration contest.

Ava DuVernay’s Origin, the first film by an African American woman to play in Competition at the Venice Film Festival, will have a Gala screening at Roy Thomson Hall at TIFF on Monday, September 11. DuVernay will be in attendance for the screening of the film, which she wrote, produced and directed.

Sony’s Craig Gillespie-directed comedy, Dumb Money, about the GameStop meme investors isn’t going wide anymore on Sept. 22. Rather, the Culver City lot has opted to go exclusive with the ensemble movie on Sept. 15 in LA and NYC, then a limited break on Sept. 22, followed by a moderate release on Sept. 29 and a final wide on Oct. 6. You’ll remember, Sony moved Kraven the Hunter off of that first weekend of October to Labor Day weekend 2024.
