Studiocanal and SunnyMarch are to soon enter production on the Beneditch Cumberbatch-starring How to Stop Time, which has been rejigged from a feature to a TV series.
Studiocanal is gearing up to shoot “How To Stop Time,” starring Benedict Cumberbatch and with D.C. Moore (“Mary & George”) and Tomas Alfredson (“Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”) on board as key creative talent. Production on the title by Studiocanal and SunnyMarch will be announced by CEO Anna Marsh on Monday at her keynote at Cannes’ MipTV trade fair. In it, she also looks set to confirm that Studiocanal has acquired an equity stake in London-based Strong Film & Television, co-founded in late 2020 by “Broadchurch” director James Strong and Matt Tombs, a former executive at the BBC and Paramount.
Damian Lewis has been tapped to star in supernatural black comedy The Radleys, based on Matt Haig’s popular novel of the same name. The film has Heartstopper director Euros Lyn at the helm and is produced by Debbie Gray (Good Luck To You Leo Grande) through Genesius Pictures with Cornerstone Films handling worldwide sales.

United Talent Agency (UTA) has acquired the legacy UK literary and talent agency Curtis Brown Group, UTA announced Monday.Curtis Brown Group, which was founded in 1899, will continue to operate under its current name and management, including CEO Jonny Geller (pictured center). But the deal expands UTA’s international footprint and this structure will allow both Curtis Brown Group and UTA to continue their longstanding relationships with other agency partners in the UK and US. Curtis Brown has more than 240 employees and is expected to continue to grow as a result of this deal.
