Joe Otterson TV ReporterHBO Max has given out a series order to “Green Lantern,” Variety has learned.Based on the DC Comics property, the show was first announced as being in development last year. Plot details are now available for the first time, however.

Sony is attempting the superhero film equivalent of “doing a lot with a little.” Instead of owning the film rights to a huge connected universe, like WB’s DCEU or Marvel Studios’ MCU, Sony has the “Spider-Man” film rights. And though the character is one of the most popular superheroes in comic book and film history, there’s no obvious way to spin it off into a whole connected universe.

Nobody does it like the Legends.  As if this season's earlier unexpected crossover with Supernatural wasn't enough, tonight's episode of Legends of Tomorrow was an absolutely delightful trip through the TV universe, featuring trips to four different TV shows as well as a whole new world for the Legends themselves.

After years of learning the rules of all the alternate dimensions and multiple Earths of the multiverse, the massive Arrowverse crossover, Crisis on Infinite Earths, did away with the multiverse as a whole! When all was said and done, all the separate Earths in the Arrwoverse merged into a single Earth Prime.

If we weren't already lost in our feelings about the series finale of Arrow, we surely are now. The CW has announced it will air a one-hour special, Arrow: Hitting the Bullseye, before the finale, with cast interviews with Stephen Amell and the rest of Team Arrow, along with executive producers Greg Berlanti, Marc Guggenheim, and Beth Schwartz.
