Mac DeMarco is the host of a new music gear show called Advanced Studio Recording Techniques. The show's pilot episode is available now for subscribers to “Eternal Family,” a new streaming service spotlighting content from independent artists.

Mac DeMarco has a habit of releasing the rough demos from his albums. He’s at it again. The demos from his 2019 album Here Comes the Cowboy are being released on two different collections: Here Comes the Cowboy Demos is out April 17 (via Mac’s Record Label) and Other Here Comes the Cowboy Demos comes out the following day as a Record Store Day Exclusive. Mac DeMarco has shared a cover of the Christmas classic “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town.” Mac recorded the song at Jizz Jazz, his studio in Brooklyn. He’s shared an accompanying video starring an Emperor Palpatine Christmas tree ornament. Check it out below.
