World premieres for some of the global streamers’ biggest upcoming launches will take place at next month’s Canneseries.

Prime Video’s Rachel Weisz-starrer “Dead Ringers,” Paramount+’s “Fatal Attraction, with Lizzy Caplan, and Joshua Jackson, and Netflix’s awaited French bio “Tapie” pack out a 6th Canneseries which boasts its biggest U.S. presence yet, with titles from nearly all the major global streamers. They join Apple TV+’s already-announced “Silo,” another world premiere. Paramount+ will also be represented by Korean smash hit “Bargain.” The main Competition features seven world premieres, Lewi said at a Paris lineup presentation on Tuesday. 

The “Mean Girls” musical has cast “Mad Men” star Jon Hamm as Coach Carr. The Emmy-winning actor and star of “Confess, Fletch” and “Beirut” will play the school’s gym teacher and sex-ed instructor.

Todd Spangler NY Digital Editor After nearly 10 years on Netflix, comedy “New Girl” will be leaving the streaming service to get a new dual home on Hulu and Peacock. “New Girl” will be available on Hulu and Peacock beginning April 17, 2023. Under a shared agreement between Disney and NBCUniversal, Peacock and Hulu will share streaming rights to all seven season of the show, comprising 146 episodes in total. “New Girl,” starring Zooey Deschanel, first began streaming on Netflix in the U.S. in the summer of 2013. The show’s ensemble cast includes Deschanel, Jake Johnson, Max Greenfield, Lamorne Morris and Hannah Simone. “New Girl” originally aired on Fox from 2011-2018.

New Girl is getting a new streaming home. The comedy series will be leaving Netflix and moving to Hulu and Peacock next month as part of a shared agreement between the two streamers.

Party Down (★★★★★) even better.First airing on Starz in 2009, the comedy follows the Party Down catering crew as they try to make it big in Hollywood while also just trying to make ends meet. After running for two seasons, Starz has revived the series for another installment, reuniting Scott with most of his original co-stars as their characters pick up after a decade after where they left off. «I think we all kind of freaked out when we finally were there putting the ties on,» Scott told ET's Will Marfuggi ahead of 's return with season 3.

Paramount+ revealed the freshman series Fatal Attraction is set to premiere on April 30 with two episodes airing back to back.

There will be no second season for Inside Job, the adult animated conspiracy theory comedy series from Gravity Falls writer Shion Takeuchi and creator Alex Hirsch. The news was confirmed Sunday by Takeuchi on Twitter, a decision that reverses the series’ previously announced Season 2 renewal.

A date has finally been set for the return of Party Down, the revival of the cult comedy series from 2009-10. Starz will debut the laugher at midnight on Friday, February 24 on its app and streaming platforms. Its linear debut is set for later that night at 9 PM ET/PT on Starz.

Angourie Rice, Reneé Rapp, Auli’i Cravalho and Jaquel Spivey have joined the ensemble cast of Paramount Pictures’ new “Mean Girls” film based on the Tony-nominated Broadway musical in the roles of Cady, Regina, Janis and Damian.Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne are directing with Tina Fey writing the adaptation. Plot details for the adaptation, produced by Fey and Lorne Michaels, are being kept under wraps.

Eighteen years on, “Mean Girls” remains one of the seminal teen comedies of the 2000s. And over the years, it’s developed a cult following, with fans holding out hope for a sequel.

Dead to Me is back for the third and final season this week, along with Jen (Christina Applegate) and Judy's (Linda Cardellini) off-the-walls, enjoyable-as-hell chemistry. I'll miss these two trading unintentional insults (all said with love!) as well as Jen's stunning earth-toned, coastal home.
