Paramount Pictures has unleashed a teaser trailer for the sixth installment of the Scream franchise, and in Scream VI it seems Ghostface has moved East and is stalking New York City.

New York City: center of the universe — and so bustling that no one can hear you scream. The first teaser trailer for “Scream VI” dropped Wednesday, and it shows our heroes from the last installment turning a new page and leaving Woodsboro behind for the Big Apple.

Paramount Pictures has made two more major tweaks to its release schedule, moving the next film in its Scream franchise up from March 31 to March 10, 2023 while pushing back the starry Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves from March 3 to March 31, 2023. Both titles will open in theaters nationwide.

Samara Weaving (The Valet) and Tony Revolori (Spider-Man: No Way Home) are the latest additions to the cast of Scream 6, Deadline can confirm. They join an ensemble that also includes Melissa Barrera, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Mason Gooding and Jenna Ortega, who toplined the fifth film in the franchise, along with Hayden Panettiere, Courteney Cox, Dermot Mulroney, Jack Champion, Liana Liberato, Devyn Nekoda, Josh Segarra and Henry Czerny.

It is a rare occurrence to find a movie that speaks so clearly to its current moment like “The Beach House,” despite being filmed months before COVID-19 ravaged our lives, homes, and beaches. Part Lovecraft and part virus flick, it fits right into the category of movies such as “Long Weekend,” “The Mist,” and “The Last Winter,” where small groups of people meet an extinction event that can’t be stopped.
