Manori Ravindran Executive Editor of International Long-time “Dancing With the Stars” and “Strictly Come Dancing” judge Len Goodman has died. He was 78. Goodman’s manager confirmed his death to the BBC on Monday. The judge was diagnosed with bone cancer in 2021. He died on Saturday at a hospice in Kent, surrounded by his family. Goodman was a mainstay as the head judge on popular BBC dance competition “Strictly Come Dancing” from its 2004 launch right up until 2016. He also served as a judge on the U.S. adaptation of the show, “Dancing with the Stars” on ABC, from its launch in 2005 through to 2022. The BBC released a statement just minutes after Goodman’s death was first announced by the public broadcaster, with director general Tim Davie calling him a “wonderful, warm entertainer who was adored by millions.”
Len Goodman, the former Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing with the Stars judge, has died aged 78.
While Julianne Hough quickly became a fan-favorite Dancing With the Stars pro during her tenure on the dancing competition, she initially wanted to turn down the role.
Shirley Ballas has hinted that her future on Strictly Come Dancing is uncertain after she hit an 'all time low'. The 'Queen of Latin' has been a judge - and head judge no less - on the hit BBC One dance show since 2017 following the departure of Len Goodman.
Julianne Hough is returning to the ballroom! On Monday, ABC announced that the professional dancer is coming back to as a co-host for the upcoming 32nd season of the reality dance competition. Hough, 34, will join Alfonso Ribeiro — winner of season 19 — who will stand alongside her as co-host. Judges, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough are all set to make their return to the table for the upcoming season. Hough is no stranger to the ballroom. In 2007, she made her debut as a professional dancer. The same year, the actress took home the mirrorball trophy, twice.
Tyra Banks is exiting the ballroom: Deadline has confirmed that she will no longer host Dancing with the Stars on Disney+
Emily Longeretta The “Dancing With the Stars” ballroom is changing once again. Tyra Banks, who joined the ABC-turned-Disney+ reality show as host in 2020, will not be returning next season, Variety has confirmed. Banks spoke to TMZ on Thursday, revealing that she’ll be focusing on other businesses and producing TV. “I think it’s time to graduate from the dance floor to the stock market floor… from the ballroom to the boardroom,” she said. “I’m an entrepreneur at heart… I think my heart, my soul, is into my business, it’s also into producing new TV.” She shared that she can’t fully focus on her business while hosting. The supermodel first joined the reality competition show as host during Season 29 in 2020, replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews, who were unexpectedly cut. After hosting two seasons alone, Alfonso Ribeiro joined as a co-host for season 31, the first season that moved to Disney+.

Dancing with the Stars‘ first season on Disney+ has come to end! So much change has already been announced going into tonight’s season 31 finale. First, judge Len Goodman and Cheryl Burke have called it quits. Then, Disney gave Bob Chapek the heave-ho and rewarded Bob Iger with his old CEO seat. A desperate plea from the cheap seats, Mr. Iger: return the mirror ball to ABC! I think we can all agree that this streaming experiment has gone the way of the polka: no one wants Disney+ anywhere near the ballroom. Perhaps moving it back home to Mondays on ABC can be your next major decision after lowering the price for the Genie+ line-skipping service at the parks?
