Teen hip-hop star Alaya High, otherwise known as Lay Lay, is to front a live-action comedy series for Nickelodeon – a series that leads the kids’ networks latest original programming slate.

A fellow child rap sensation has taken notice and the two are now hanging out. 11-year-old prodigy That Girl Lay Lay (real name Alaya High) and North held a TikTok dance session together to Lay’s tune “Mama” on March 12. North can be seen in an oversize bright blue sweater, boucing back and forth to the song and busting out some serious dance moves.

Hailing from Houston, Texas, That Girl Lay Lay has found a strong audience with “Supersize XL.” Since its release, the track has racked up more than 17 million YouTube views to date. The single is produced by Trendz Music and Kid Classic and features verses from Lil TerRio and Lil Blurry. On the track, That Girl Lay Lay raps about her life in her hometown.
