This Sunday’s 75th Annual Tony Awards will feature a line-up of presenters from the stage and screen, including Andrew Garfield, Laurence Fishburne, Nathan Lane, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Bowen Yang and both Paris and Prince Jackson, the children of MJ subject Michael Jackson.

Feature documentary, The Cave of Adullam, is set to world premiere at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival on Monday, June 13. As the project’s official logline explains, “What starts as a self-serving mission for parole turns into a deep emotional and transformative relationship, offering a glimmer of redemption in an otherwise unforgiving place.”Participant, whose company mission is dedicated to entertainment that stands at the intersection of art and activism, is producing the film with Zodiac Pictures’ Reto Schaerli and Lukas Hobi, and Perry and Tim Palen of Peachtree & Vine Productions.

“To work with Laurence Fishburne and Clifton Collins, Jr. on this intimate and emotional story is an absolute dream come true,” said Volpe in a statement.

Francis Ford has long discussed directing one last epic film to add to a cinematic legacy that includes “Apocalypse Now” and the “Godfather” trilogy, and his long-in-gestation passion project “Megalopolis” is now taking shape.

More than 20 years in the making, Francis Ford Coppola’s Megalopolis has set its star cast. Adam Driver, Forest Whitaker, Nathalie Emmanuel (Game of Thrones and Fast X), Jon Voight and Laurence Fishburne have been set for the main roles. Fishburne began his career with Coppola at the tender age of 14 in Apocalypse Now. Legend has it he was of legal age when the film got released.

Darren Criss and Julianne Hough – both currently starring on Broadway, he in American Buffalo, she in POTUS -will co-host the pre-Tony Awards livestream special on Paramount+ next month.

Oscar-nominated actors Jacki Weaver and Laurence Fishburne have been tapped as two of the leads in the project, Donald Sterling’s wife, Shelly Sterling, and former Clippers Head Coach Doc Rivers, respectively. Nina Jacobson and Brad Simpson’s Color Force (American Crime Story, Pose) is producing.
