Three of America’s most influential first ladies are at the center of Showtime’s historical drama, “The First Lady.” The trailer for the first season, directed and executive produced by Susanne Bier, sees Viola Davis as Michelle Obama, Michelle Pfeiffer as Betty Ford and Gillian Anderson as Eleanor Roosevelt.

Betty Ford and Eleanor Roosevelt, played respectively by Hollywood heavyweights Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson — is coming to Showtime.The 10-episode drama airing this April includes supporting actors Kiefer Sutherland as Franklin D. Roosevelt, Aaron Eckhart as Gerald Ford and relative newcomer O-T Fagbenle, who last starred in “The Handmaid’s Tale,” as the first black president, Barack Obama.

Paramount+ has given out more details of its upcoming spy series starring Kiefer Sutherland.

24 revival series is in the works.In September last year, Fox Entertainment President Michael Thorn told Deadline there were “active creative discussions” with producers about potentially bringing back the series in some capacity.Speaking to NME, Sutherland, who played Jack Bauer in the Fox series, denied having any knowledge about these talks. “My social media will just start going off the charts, and it’ll be the first I’ve heard of it,” Sutherland said.The actor, however, admits the subject has come up in the past when chatting with former 24 showrunner Howard Gordon.Speaking about his idea for a revival series, Sutherland said: “I think the only thing that would ever make sense – and I’ve told [Gordon] this – is that you launch the new cast because they’re trying to get me back from China or wherever the hell it is that I ended up.”Sutherland also served as executive producer on spin-off series 24: Legacy, which was axed in 2017 after just one season.Speaking about the show’s cancellation, Sutherland suggests the spin-off wasn’t given enough time to grow.

Warner Bros. is revisiting one of its most enduring 1980s cult hits for a new reboot “The Lost Boys”.

The Lost Boys is on the way from Warner Bros.The studio is making a new, reimagined take on the 1980s teen vampire classic which starred Jason Patric, Corey Haim, Kiefer Sutherland, Corey Feldman, Alex Winter, Jami Gertz, Corey Haim and more.The new film is set to be written by Randy McKinnon with Jonathan Entwistle on board to direct, according to The Hollywood Reporter.Noah Jupe (A Quiet Place) and Jaeden Martell (It) will star in the project, details of which are under wraps.

24 actor Kiefer Sutherland has lined up a presidential role in a new TV series, as he has signed up to play the 32nd US President, Franklin D Roosevelt, in Showtime series The First Lady. The drama series will tell the stories of women who have been at the heart of the White House, revealing the personal and political lives of three First Ladies through interweaving storylines.

Showtime has found its FDR. Kiefer Sutherland will play the 32nd president on the network’s upcoming historical anthology series “The First Lady.” Sutherland will star opposite Gillian Anderson, who is on board as former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt.The cast also includes Michelle Pfeiffer, Aaron Eckhart, Viola Davis, O-T Fagbenle, Judy Greer, Jayme Lawson, Kristine Froseth and Rhys Wakefield.

Former Designated Survivor star Kiefer Sutherland is heading back to the Oval Office. He’s been tapped to play President Franklin D. Roosevelt on Showtime’s upcoming anthology series The First Lady (working title), starring Viola Davis — who also executive produces — Michelle Pfeiffer and Gillian Anderson. Cathy Schulman serves as showrunner. Susanne Bier (The Undoing) will direct and executive produce.
