EastEnders dropped a huge bombshell last night as it aired a flashforward scene that gave a glimpse far into the future. The BBC soap shocked viewers after showing a scene set at Christmas with six female characters involved in a mystery murder.

After whipping fans into a frenzy with "in a flash everything changes" teaser trailers, EastEnders left gobsmacked viewers with an epic flashforward episode as Christmas came early in February. ITV has confirmed it will run live and uninterrupted coverage of the late Queen Elizabeth II's state funeral. The coverage of the ceremony, which will take place at Westminster Abbey on Monday September 19 and has been deemed a UK bank holiday, will be preceded by Good Morning Britain, which will give viewers a preview of proceedings.
