Charna Flam ATX TV festival has announced that the festival will open with the world premiere of FX’s “Justified: City Primeval” and include a “Dawson’s Creek” 25th-anniversary screening and conversation. The festival’s 12th edition will also host conversations with the cast and crews of “Outlander,” “The Good Doctor,” “Primo,” “Jury Duty,” “Everyone Is Doing Great” and “The Righteous Gemstones.” The ATX TV festival is slated to run from June 1-4. “Justified: City Primeval” will pick up after 15 years since Marshal Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) left Kentucky, and extends the “Justified” universe. Based on Elmore Leonard’s novel “City Primeval: High Noon in Detroit,” the upcoming series premieres this summer on FX. Showrunners and executive producers Dave Andron and Michael Dinner will join the cast and crew at the June 1 screening and conversation.

The world premiere of FX’s Justified: City Primeval is among the events scheduled for Opening Night of Season 12 of the ATX TV Festival, which runs June 1-4 in Austin.

Lockhart novel “We Were Liars” from Julie Plec and Carina Adly MacKenzie. “We’ve been obsessed with this beloved story for years and for a while it seemed like it might be the one that got away from us,” Plec and MacKenzie said. “But finally, we are elated to be bringing it to life with everyone at Prime Video and UTV, who are just as passionate about this twisty tale as we are. Amazon is moving forward with its series adaptation of E. Lockhart’s novel We Were Liars.

EXCLUSIVE: Universal Television is developing a TV adaptation of the novel Stone Cold Fox by Rachel Koller Croft, who will also pen the series. Julie Plec and Emily Cummins will executive produce through Plec’s production banner, My So-Called Company as part of her overall deal with Universal Television.
