Wedded — and professional — bliss! Jordana Brewster is living her best life after turning 40 — and she always knew that would be the case.

The 10th instalment of the “Fast and Furious” franchise was off to the races this weekend, knocking “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” out of first place and easily claiming the No. 1 spot at the box office. “Fast X” earned $67.5 million in ticket sales from 4,046 North American theatres, according to estimates from Universal Pictures on Sunday.

The “Accused” actor went viral earlier this month because of an interview she gave on the “Women on Top” podcast in which she frankly discussed orgasms and her sex life, including her preference for being “manhandled” in the bedroom. “A job got taken away from me because I was speaking candidly and openly about sex in a humorous way on our friend’s podcast,” Bilson told her guest, “Fast X” star Jordana Brewster. “I basically got a job that I already had pulled from me because I was speaking openly about sex. In this day and age. I am baffled.”

Ellise Shafer “Fast X,” the latest installment in the “Fast and Furious” franchise, is speeding to a projected $67.25 million debut at the domestic box office this weekend. The street racing movie earned $28 million on Friday from 4,046 theaters, and is expected to gross another $22.43 million on Saturday and $16.82 million on Sunday. This will be enough to knock Disney and Marvel’s “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” out of the top spot, as the superhero tale is expected to pull in $32.89 million in its third weekend of release, bringing its North American total to over $267 million. On Thursday, “Fast X” raked in $7.5 million in previews, putting it on track to earn more than $60 million in its first weekend of release. That puts the tenth chapter in the “Fast” saga at No. 7 in terms of highest box office debuts, between 2021’s “F9: The Fast Saga” ($70 million) and 2019’s “Hobbs and Shaw” ($60 million). Globally, “Fast X” is looking to bring in $220 million overseas in its opening weekend. The movie cost Universal $340 million to produce and another $100 million to promote, so “Fast X” will need Fast Family members from around the world to speed to theaters in order to turn a profit.

Because when you think about the fuel-injected “Fast and Furious” franchise, you think about the 91-year-old actress who appeared in “Singin’ in the Rain” and both versions of “West Side Story.”And this cumulative, everybody’s back attitude brings to mind, of course, the Marvel Studios canon – specifically “Avengers: Infinity War,” which set the stage for the grand finale of the first era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

After costing $340 million to produce and $100 million to promote, “Fast X” will need to keep its foot on the gas after it opens to net a large profit.

In second place, in its sixth weekend, Universal’s “The Super Mario Bros. Movie” collected £858,444 for a total of £51 million. There were two debuts in the top five. Sony’s “Love Again” bowed in third place with £340,785 and Universal’s “Book Club: The Next Chapter” in fourth with £299,370. Rounding off the top five was Studiocanal’s “Evil Dead Rise,” which earned £258,417 in its fourth weekend for a total of £5 million.

The social media embargo expired after the Rome premiere, and people who were lucky enough to see “Fast X” a week ahead of its U.S. premiere on May 19 are calling it “stupidly entertaining,” a “visual spectacle” and that it puts the franchise “back on track.” Others are praising Jason Momoa’s performance as the main villain, but there are also some “clunky elements” to the movie.

Vin Diesel has revealed that the Fast & Furious franchise may wind down with three films, rather than the two previously discussed.

Fast X has been released and reveals more about Jason Momoa’s new villainous character, Dante.The trailer kicks off with Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew in Vatican City as they attempt to disarm a rolling bomb set loose in the city by Dante. Flashbacks reveal how Dante got caught up with Toretto, dating back to Fast Five.Dante turns out to be the son of Herman Reyes, the lead antagonist of Fast Five. During the events of Fast Five, Toretto masterminded a heist in Rio De Janeiro to steal from Reyes, killing him.
