EXCLUSIVE: John Ortiz is set for a key recurring role opposite Vince Vaughn in Apple TV+ drama series Bad Monkey, written and executive produced by Ted Lasso co-creator Bill Lawrence. He replaces Arturo Luis Soria who had been originally cast in the role.

Despite his versatility, fans have never seen him as dark and unsettling as he is in the new TV series “The Green Veil.” His portrayal of the 1950s FBI agent Gordon Rogers was already rattling audiences after the premiere of the first four episodes of the new drama at Variety‘s TV FYC Screening Series on April 26 in West Hollywood. Following the screening, one fan revealed that it was difficult to witness Leguizamo’s character inflict trauma after trauma and asked how he managed to act out the scripted atrocities.

Freshman drama Promised Land will not return for a second season. ABC has cancelled the Latinx family drama after a short first-season run.

Matt Lopez, the creator of the new ABC series Promised Land, is assuring fans that the show has not been cancelled amid the impending move to Hulu.

ABC is pulling Promised Land off the schedule after four low-rated airings. The freshman drama will have one last outing in the Monday 10 PM time slot next week. Promised Land then will be available exclusively on Hulu starting with episode 106, which will be available on the platform March 1.
