According to an individual with knowledge of the situation, the fifth season of the spinoff series will consist of 12 episodes. Fox will use “Lone Star,” it’s highest-rated drama, to launch its new shows “Doc” and “Rescue: Hi-Surf,” both of which were ordered earlier this year but have yet to begin production.
