After just being officially confirmed for a SAG-AFTRA Interim Agreement the day before, the cast of Memory hit the Venice Film Festival red carpet Friday night. Michel Franco’s movie, starring Jessica Chastain and Peter Sarsgaard, was greeted with a seven-minute ovation during its world premiere inside the Sala Grande.

We edited the movie and we almost actually don’t use any of her double. She’s so good.” The film, which Guadagnino described as a “sexy comedy,” follows Zendaya’s character as a love triangle develops while coaches her player-husband (“West Side Story” actor Mike Faist) for his big match against her ex and his childhood best friend, played by Josh O’Connor (“The Crown”).

“You Want It Darker” accompanies the skin-crawling movie trailer, which was released Thursday, and shows the pair slaying fellow humans and pulling away, covered in blood. “You don’t think I’m a bad person?” Chalamet tearfully asks Russell in the trailer.“All I think is that I love you,” she whispers.

So, it’s clear that Guadagnino is excited about his new film, “Bones & All,” and a press release for the film notes that production has begun today.

We’ve been talking about the strong possibility that a sequel to the acclaimed feature, “Call Me By Your Name,” would be happening eventually. The way Luca Guadagnino and cast members like Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer talked about the sequel idea, it seemed all but inevitable that we’d see another film in the continuing love story.
