Stephen Fry has become the latest celebrity to quit Twitter, following Elon Musk’s disruptive arrival at the helm of the platform as its new owner, and reportedly joined the rising alternative social network Mastodon.  

The shirt worn by Colin Firth in the TV series adaptation of Pride And Prejudice is up for auction. The shirt, which became famous when Mr Darcy, played by Firth, emerged from a lake in it, is expected to fetch between £7,000 and £10,000.

Furiosa trailer has been released by Warner Brothers. In fact, the full title for the prequel film to Mad Max: Fury Road is Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and stars Anya Taylor-Joy and Chris Hemsworth.The film is director George Miller’s much-anticipated return to the iconic dystopian world he created more than 30 years ago with the “Mad Max” films.

Ruth E. Carter has again made Academy Award history with her victory Sunday night in Best Costume Design for Ryan Coogler’s “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” Carter became the first Black woman to ever repeat in an Oscar category, winning her first in 2019 for “Black Panther” and the first Black woman to win two Oscars, period.Carter has a long history with the Academy Awards, first nominated for her work on Spike Lee’s 1992 film “Malcolm X,” she was also nominated for the costumes in Steven Spielberg’s 1997 film “Amistad.”During her speech, Carter expressed appreciation for the honor, particularly in light of a recent personal loss.“Thank you to the Academy for recognizing the superhero that is a Black woman,” Carter said.

Recent examples include several of the year’s Oscar nominees, from “Aftersun,” which shot in Turkey; “Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris,” which went to Budapest; to “Elvis,” in Australia. “Budapest offered an affordable alternative to both London and Paris,” says Jonathan Halperyn, managing director at Budapest-based Hero Squared and a co-producer on the film. “Hungary often comes up as a shooting destination when there is a budget crunch.” He adds: “We applied for co-production status and support from the National Film Institute of Hungary during the COVID hiatus, and by the end of 2020, we were up and running. This is the kind of flexibility we have become known for.”

So, that even though they were crazy, they did come out of some kind of reality, because I think if audiences can believe it to some extent, they actually enjoy it more. They connect more. It was a balance.”
