Bill Cosby's been accused of sexual assault in a new civil trial brought forward by a woman who claims the actor and comedian committed the abhorrent acts at the Playboy Mansion when she was only 16 years old. Judy Huth took the witness stand Tuesday in a Santa Monica, California courtroom and testified that Cosby sexually assaulted her in the so-called «blue room» at the famed mansion. Huth, now 65, claimed Cosby tried to put his hand down her pants.

Attorneys representing disgraced actor Bill Cosby used what has been nicknamed the "Donkey Kong defense" during the ongoing civil trial against the actor, who has been accused of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at the playboy mansion in 1975.  The "Donkey Kong defense" came into play against on Monday, when Cosby’s attorney pressed a key witness over previous statements that she had played the arcade game during a visit with Cosby to the Playboy Mansion in 1975, six years before its release. The testimony came in the Los Angeles County trial over the lawsuit of Judy Huth, who also began testifying Monday, but did not yet describe her allegation that Cosby sexually assaulted her at the Playboy Mansion when she was 16. Cosby denies her allegations. Cosby was not required to attend the trial.

R. Kelly has filed a motion to be acquitted on – or at least be granted a new trial for – his September 2021 conviction for racketeering, sexual exploitation of a child and kidnapping.According to documents sighted by Rolling Stone, Kelly and his lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, allege that the R&B singer (real name Robert Sylvester Kelly) was denied his Sixth Amendment rights (which state that all criminal defendants are entitled to “a speedy and public trial” by “an impartial jury”).It’s claimed that Kelly was denied his right to effective assistance of counsel in examining potential jurors, and that his assigned counsel neglected to challenge unqualified jurors.

An attorney for Bill Cosby asked the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday to reject prosecutors' recent bid to revive his criminal sexual assault case now that he's been released from prison.  The 84-year-old actor and comedian has been free since June, when a Pennsylvania appeals court overturned his conviction and released him after nearly three years. The state’s highest court found that Cosby believed he had a nonprosecution agreement with a former district attorney when he gave damaging testimony in the accuser's 2005 lawsuit.That testimony later led to his arrest in 2015.
