Coronation Street's Phill Whittaker looks set to be the reason Fiz Stape leaves Weatherfield after 21 years as the pair make a fresh start. Fiz made her first appearance in the ITV soap as a feisty teen fostered by Roy and Hayley Cropper back in 2001 and has been a part of life on the cobbles ever since despite Bury actress Jennie McAlpine, who plays her, only initially signed to appear for five episodes before being made a permanent character.

Fiz is set to pack her bags and leave her terraced house in the coming weeks in order to move into a luxury Victorian semi with new boyfriend Phill Whittaker (Jamie Kenna).

Tipping Point viewers couldn't help but notice that two of the show's latest contestants had celebrity lookalikes.

If Tyrone, played by Alan Halsall, had known how lonely he'd be this Christmas, he might never have had his head turned by Alina. Now she's gone, Fiz, played by Jennie McAlpine, is with Phill, and he's contemplating spending the festive season with waspish Evelyn.
