“Westworld” is adding a new face to its Season 4 cast — “West Side Story” star Ariana DeBose.The actress, who picked up the Supporting Actress Oscar earlier this year, has joined the HBO show as a recurring guest star. No details were immediately available about her character.She’ll join returning cast members Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul and Angela Sarafyan.

EXCLUSIVE: Diana Silvers (Space Force) and Younès Boucif (Standing Up) have signed on to star alongside Laura Dern and Liam Hemsworth in the Netflix film Lonely Planet, from writer-director Susannah Grant (Unbelievable), which is currently in production.

EXCLUSIVE: Mark-Paul Gosselaar (Mixed-ish) has been cast as a lead opposite Shanola Hampton in NBC pilot Found. The one-hour missing-persons drama, written by Nkechi Okoro Carroll, hails from Berlanti Productions, Carroll’s Rock My Soul Productions and Warner Bros. TV, where Greg Berlanti and Carroll are under overall deals.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“The Afterparty” Season 2 at Apple is bringing back Season 1 stars Sam Richardson and Zoë Chao while also adding seven new cast members, Variety has learned.Richardson and Chao join previously announced returning Season 1 star Tiffany Haddish. The new season will revolve around a murder at a wedding.The new cast members are: Zach Woods (“Silicon Valley,” “The Office”) as Edgar; Elizabeth Perkins (“Sharp Objects,” “Weeds”) as Isabel; Poppy Liu (“Dead Ringers,” “Hacks,” “Better Call Saul”) as Grace; Paul Walter Hauser (“Black Bird,” “Cruella”) as Travis; Anna Konkle (“Pen15”) as Hannah; Jack Whitehall (“Travels With My Father,” “Jungle Cruise”) as Sebastian; and Vivian Wu (“Away,” “Dead Pigs”) as Vivian. Created by Chris Miller, each episode of “The Afterparty”  explores a different character’s account of one fateful evening, all told through the lens of popular film genres and unique visuals to match the storyteller’s perspective.Miller and Phil Lord executive produce “The Afterparty” under their Lord Miller banner along with Anthony King. King and Miller will work as co-showrunners on Season 2.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter“Succession” breakout Nicholas Braun and Chris Buongiorno are developing a series together at HBO, Variety has learned exclusively.The half-hour series is titled “One for the Road.” It is described as candid and intimate story of a talented but dysfunctional band struggling to survive the rapidly changing landscape of independent music in the early 2000s. Braun and Buongiorno will co-write the series in addition to serving as executive producers.Braun has received widespread acclaim for his role on the hit HBO series “Succession,” on which he has played Cousin Greg in each of the show’s three seasons to date.

Riverdale star KJ Apa and 1883 actress Isabel May have nabbed the alien sibling lead roles in the HBO Max live action DC comedy The Wonder Twins.

EXCLUSIVE: Dennis Haysbert, known for his role as President David Palmer in Fox’s hit series 24, among many other credits, has signed with A3 Artists Agency for representation. Haysbert received two SAG Award nominations as well as a Golden Globe nom for his performance in the role.

For the next two years, Miep, her husband Jan (Cole) and several other everyday heroes watched over the eight souls hiding in the secret annex.

Now Percy must trek across America to find it and restore order to Olympus.Percy is described as a smart and compassionate kid with a sharp sense of humor.

After one too many run-ins with the law, she is assigned a court-appointed Sober Companion who will force her to confront her demons, get her act together, and stay sober, all while driving her completely nuts.Lapkus will play Shelley, Eliza’s Sober Companion.

She then finds herself in the complicated business of changing the news instead of reporting it.Beth is further described as the executive producer of KSEA, a local Seattle TV news station.

Daddario will star as Rowan, a brilliant doctor who grapples with her fate as the heir to a family of powerful witches.“Alexandra is a singular talent who has lit up the screen in everything she’s been in and we couldn’t be happier to have her on board leading the cast of a series that will be a centerpiece of an expanding Anne Rice universe on AMC+ and AMC,” said Dan McDermott, president of entertainment and AMC Studios for AMC Networks.

William Jackson Harper (Love Life) has joined the cast of Landscape With Invisible Hand, a heightened comedy that Cory Finley (Bad Education, Thoroughbreds) is directing for MGM, Deadline can confirm.

Angelique Jackson Emmy-nominated “The Good Place” star William Jackson Harper has joined the cast of Cory Finley’s “Landscape With Invisible Hand.”He joins previously announced stars Asante Blackk, Tiffany Haddish, Kylie Rogers, Clifton Collins Jr., Michael Gandolfini, Josh Hamilton and Brooklynn MacKinzie in the film from MGM, Plan B Entertainment and Annapurna Pictures.Based on National Book Award winner M.T. Anderson’s novel of the same name, “Landscape With Invisible Hand” is a heightened comedy set in a deeply stratified, alien future and marks Finley’s third film after “Thoroughbreds” and “Bad Education.” The project — produced by Plan B’s Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner and Annapurna’s Megan Ellison and Sue Naegle — is currently in production.
