It’s a role he has made his own in many ways.A key scene in the Season 2 finale took viewers inside Guillermo’s family home, a warm and cozy apartment with food on the stove and a concerned parent.

There’s no star in the third season of “What We Do in the Shadows,” FX’s wonderful adaptation of the 2014 horror mockumentary from Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi; there is only the ensemble.

EXCLUSIVE: What We Do In The Shadows star Harvey Guillén is set to host After The Shadows, a pre-taped, social media talk show kicking off at 11 p.m. PT immediately after the season 3 premiere on Sept. 2.  The episodes will be available via TheShadowsFX via Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram, as well on FX’s official YouTube channel.

COVID-19 may have lasted for what feels like an eternity, but vampirism is forever. Fans of FX’s hit show “What We Do In The Shadows” may rejoice now: after an extended wait thanks to the now dwindling pandemic, an all-new season of their favorite vampires from Staten Island hits the network this Fall.

As a choreographer, dancer, director, and founder of the 1958 theater company named after him, Alvin Ailey was an instrumental figure in showcasing the African American experience through dance. The new film, “Ailey” — documenting the icon’s life — is now in theaters.

You know what could have been really lame? “What We Do In The Shadows,” the TV series spin-off of Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s excellent Sundance vampire mockumentary from 2014 (the film that got the latter filmmaker on the radar of people like Marvel‘s Kevin Feige). Now, film to TV is pretty common these days, but ‘Shadows’ is very particular about its brand of comedy and minor, but still important VFX.

Kevin Smith made the political horror-comedy “Red State” in 2011 and when he toured around the country, he outlined his overall vision for the movie as a cross between “Quentin Tarantino movie by way of The Coen Brothers.” While such ambitious aims were noble, Smith fell vastly short in the eyes of most (although, its “Burn After Reading,” close-the-file ending with John Goodman, wherein weed saves the day remains great).

Kristin Kreuk (Smallville, Beauty & the Beast), Marc Bendavid (Dark Matter, Good Witch) Willie C. Carpenter (Devious Maids, Brawl in Cell Block 99), Currie Graham (Murder in the First), Harvey Guillén (What We Do in the Shadows) and Maxwell Jenkins (Lost in Space) have joined the Season 1 cast of Amazon’s upcoming original series Reacher, based on the Jack Reacher character from Lee Child’s international bestselling books.

What We Do in the Shadows assembled an all-star cameo session in Season 1, including Tilda Swinton and Evan Rachel Wood, and the roster of A-listers will continue to expand in its sophomore outing. Co-creator Jemaine Clement confirmed at the Television Critics Association winter press tour on Thursday that Luke Skywalker himself, Mark Hamill, will guest-star in Season 2.
