You’ll remember Apple TV+ was so gung-ho on its spy series, “Slow Horses” starring Academy Award winner Gary Oldman, they greenlit it for two seasons and shot them back-to-back and then released them both within the same year (April and December of 2022). Well, they also did the same with the renewal, announcing that seasons three and four of the critically acclaimed espionage drama would be greenlight and shot concurrently.

In its latest milestone, Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer has passed the $900M mark worldwide. The estimated total through Friday is $903M, including $586M from the international box office. With Saturday and Sunday numbers, that global cume is projected to reach $912M. This will make it the highest grossing biopic ever at the global box office, ahead of Bohemian Rhapsody. 

True Blood, has died aged 70.As Variety reports, the actor passed away in Altadena, California last Saturday (September 2) following a long illness.De Rousse appeared as the aforementioned character – a doctor for supernatural beings – in three episodes of the HBO original series. She first took on the role in an episode of season two called ‘Scratches’, and later returned in the show’s fourth and seventh seasons.In April, de Rousse wrote in a post on Facebook that she had suffered “a fall in [her] doctor’s office” which she said “would lead to [her] death”.She continued: “It caused my hiatal hernia to move to an area where it is now dangerous.

Michaela Zee Marcia de Rousse, who played Dr. Ludwig on the HBO original series “True Blood,” died in Altadena, Calif., on Saturday from a long illness, her agency told Variety. She was 70.

Sophia Scorziello editor Jamie Christopher, assistant director on Marvel films including “Guardians of the Galaxy” and the entire Harry Potter franchise, died Tuesday in Los Angeles from heart complications. He was 52.

The nominations for the BAFTA TV Awards 2023 have been confirmed. The 69th annual TV awards will be held in May, and the full list of shows, actors and writers who have earned a nod has been announced.

BBC series This Is Going to Hurt and The Responder lead the nominations at the Bafta television and craft awards with six each.The broadcaster was the clear leader ahead of the ceremony in April with a total of 81 nominations across both TV and craft categories, while Channel 4 was second with 33, Netflix has 24 and ITV 19.This year’s categories also included first-time nominations for acting heavyweights Cillian Murphy, Gary Oldman, Daniel Radcliffe and Taron Egerton. Zack Sharf Digital News Director Nicolas Cage is making his Dracula debut in Universal Pictures’ upcoming horror comedy “Renfield,” and he’s already chomping at the bit to play the iconic bloodsucker in an expanded capacity. Cage’s Dracula in “Renfield” is a supporting role, as the film’s protagonist is the vampire’s long-suffering servant (played by Nicholas Hoult). The Oscar winner spoke to Total Film magazine about eyeing another Dracula project where he can better explore the psyche of the vampire. “You know, there are some minor moments here where you get to see some of the pathos in Dracula’s eyes,” Cage said. “That made me think that maybe one day I might like to try for a whole movie where you’re really understanding the psyche of the character. I didn’t really have the time to delve into that here.”
