Ryan Thomas has shared his main 'worry' about appearing on The Games following the second live show. The former Coronation Street star has joined 11 other celebs in going out of their comfort zone to compete in a series of Olympic-style events.

Coronation Street actor Colson Smith has been told he's his co-star's hero as he takes on a huge challenge away from the ITV soap. The 23-year-old is currently appearing in ITV's new show, The Games.

Holly Willoughby made sure to make a splash as she returned live to ITV on Tuesday night. The TV star was back hosting The Games on the channel alongside Freddie Flintoff.

The Games is unlikely to break any records, leaving viewers switching off after featuring just six minutes of live competition during the first show. Monday opening night, hosted by Holly Willoughby, 41, and Freddie Flintoff, 44, ran for 90 minutes.

Colson Smith take part in a freestyle swimming race just five weeks after learning to swim, leaving him delighted as he smashed his personal best time despite coming last overall.  A synchronised diving event also raised eyebrows as Ryan Thomas ended up with a wardrobe malfunction and mooned the cameras by accident as his Speedos were forced down by the impact of the water.  Olivia Attwood had also overcome injury to triumph in the women’s breaststroke event, and the contestants also took on a canoeing challenge.

ITV’s shiny new celebrity sports day-esque programme The Games seemed all too familiar for many viewers. Fans of a certain age will be able to remember a very similar format which could be seen on TVs almost a decade ago.
