Vance and Lesley Manville in the FX series, which will premiere this fall. Although character details have not been revealed, this marks Kelce’s first major acting role.

According to sources, the NFL star — and global celebrity due to his relationship with Taylor Swift — has been cast opposite Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville in the upcoming series, which has just started production. Reps for FX, Murphy and producing studio 20th Television declined comment.

The CW has set a premiere date for Season 2 of 61st Street, the Courtney B. Vance and Aunjanue Ellis-led drama from Peter Moffat, J. David Shanks and Outlier Society. New episodes will arrive beginning on Monday, July 22 at 9 pm.

The teaser didn’t contain any footage, and only flashed the names of cast members Niecy Nash-Betts, Courtney B. Vance and Lesley Manville over a black screen as Nash-Betts’ voice delivered a monologue, seemingly over a phone call.
