CBS is looking to scare up more laughs after handing an early renewal to supernatural comedy Ghosts.
Joe Otterson TV Reporter CBS has renewed the comedy “Ghosts” for Season 4 and the drama “Fire Country” for Season 3. Both shows launched their new seasons in mid-February due to the impact last year’s dual writers’ and actors’ strike had on broadcast production schedules. “’Ghosts’ and ‘Fire Country’ are proven viewer favorites on both broadcast and streaming thanks to exceptional storytelling, talented actors and an ever-growing fan base,” said Amy Reisenbach, president of CBS Entertainment.
After being forced to push the Season 3 premiere date for its hit comedy Ghosts to February 15, 2024 amidst this summer’s dual strikes, CBS is readying for its return to production, star Danielle Pinnock has revealed.
SPOILER ALERT: This story contains spoilers for the series finale of “The Other Two,” titled “Brooke & Cary & Curtis & Lance,” now streaming on Max. Farewell, “The Other Two.” The day before it aired its Season 3 finale, co-creators Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider announced there will not be a fourth season of the beloved comedy series, adding that they “always knew” this was “where we wanted to end” the stories of Brooke and Cary Dubek. In the series finale, the siblings, after nine episodes of selfishness and depravity, finally show up for the ones they love. On a desperate mission to win an Academy Award for playing gay Albert Einstein, Drew Tarver’s Cary chooses to take a break from acting — despite the movie landing Harry Styles as a love interest — in order to heal himself and repair his friendship with Curtis (Brandon Scott Jones). Meanwhile, as her famous family members’ talent manager, Heléne Yorke’s Brooke publicly takes the fall for Pat (Molly Shannon) and Chase (Case Walker), at once achieving her goal to “do good.” In the series’ final moments, Brooke reconciles with longtime love Lance (Josh Segarra) with a good old-fashioned make-out in the rain, and Cary meets new friends and finds happiness outside of chasing career achievements.
Ethan Shanfeld “The Other Two” will not return for a fourth season, as series creators Chris Kelly and Sarah Schneider announce that they “always knew” Thursday’s Season 3 finale is “where we wanted to end” the stories of Brooke and Cary Dubek. Debuting on Comedy Central in 2019 before moving to HBO Max (and now Max), the series offered a scathing satire of Hollywood and the corruptive nature of fame. It starred Heléne Yorke and Drew Tarver as disillusioned millennial siblings Brooke and Cary, who attempt to make it in New York City after their teenage brother becomes a Justin Bieber-esque pop star and their mother a daytime TV host. In Season 3, Cary, an actor, finally works his way up to C-list celebrity status, while Brooke, after talent managing her famous family members, decides to leave the industry to “do good.”
The Other Two, the comedy series starring Heléne Yorke, Drew Tarver and Molly Shannon, is coming to a close with its third season on Max.
finally returning with season 3 on May 4, fans are about to get a double dose of Brandon Scott Jones. Not only does he play Curtis on the HBO Max series, but he has recently enjoyed breakout success as Isaac on the CBS comedy , which wraps its second season on May 11.

interesting on Thursday's episode of when the ghosts suspect that one of Jay's friends could be — keyword being «could be» — the leader of a cult. And, to make matters more complicated, the rest of his pals may be part of it too.ET exclusively premieres a sneak peek from the episode, titled «Jay's Friends,» where Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar) and his friends are catching up on old times while watching a good ol' game of football — with Flower (Sheila Carrasco), Trevor (Asher Grodman) and Isaac (Brandon Scott Jones) looking on, of course. But the conversation suddenly turns weird when Micah (Drew Tarver) shares his philosophy over sports (more specifically basketball) -- at least that's how it starts — about the choices teams are presented at the beginning of a match, whether to take possession of the ball first or pick which side of the court/field they prefer and how that impacts the future.
cast got all dressed up as they posed for amagazine spread and teased season 2, which kicks off Thursday on CBS. Only ET was with the ensemble as they reflected on the comedy's breakout first season and offered a glimpse into what awaits the crew as they begin a new chapter.«We are a loud, very rambunctious group of people.
Wilson Chapman editor Next year, Nicolas Cage will be portraying the world’s most famous vampire Dracula in “Renfield,” a horror comedy about the count’s lovestruck familiar. And while the role has been portrayed in film by hundreds of actors over the years — from Bela Lugosi to Gary Oldman — the idiosyncratic actor is set to leave his own unique mark on the horror legend. During an interview to promote his western drama “Butcher’s Crossing,” Cage spoke in the Variety TIFF Studio, presented by King’s Hawaiian, about developing his own take on the iconic Transylvanian accent of the vampiric count. Specifically, he revealed he took inspiration from Christopher Lee’s famous portrayals of the character while adding other elements to the part — including his own father, academic August Coppola.
Does Jay finally have the same paranormal abilities as his wife?CBS shared a first look at “Ghosts” Season 2 on Friday, hinting that after Utkarsh Ambudkar’s character fell through the floor and into the basement at the end of Season 1, he might actually be able to see the spirits that have been haunting the mansion. As you’ll remember, Rose McIver’s Sam only perceived the ghosts because she hit her head falling down the stairs in the Season 1 premiere. In Friday’s clip (which is about two minutes into the video below) Jay argues that, by that theory, he should now be able to see them as well.He ventures downstairs to find them and something catches his eye at the bottom of the stairs, making him utter: “Oh my God.” But the video cuts to a new scene before we find out if it’s really a ghost that he saw.
