In a promo video for the 56th annual CMA Awards, which will be co-hosted by the former NFL quarterback and the country crooner, Manning and Bryan get into crunch mode to prep for their hosting duties, entering into a "bootcamp." The clip shows the men doing exercises like picture-association with famous country stars, including Reba McEntire and Darius Rucker. In a cheekily executed moment, Manning draws on a white board, as if he's going over a football route showing the direction he would go in if someone were to attack him from the audience, in what was likely a nod to Will Smith's now infamous slap of Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards.

The two performed the song during Wallen’s headlining set at the event, previewing the drinking-buddies anthem for the evening crowd.

The news was first reported in Country Aircheck‘s newsletter. Most of the artists will be absorbed into Sony Music Nashville, with Nate Smith is going to RCA Nashville and Old Dominion and Megan Moroney moving over to Columbia Nashville. Brooks & Dunn is the most famous artist on the label, having been one of its cornerstone acts since 1991, but the duo is not a going concern on the recording front. Apart from a retrospective/duets project three years ago, they have not issued an album of new material since 2007.

She did not say where she might be landing after her departure — only that she “can’t wait” to see what comes next. “Since I was 19 years old, Sony has been my home in Nashville,” Lambert said in a social post. “Over the last 20 years together we have released albums that allowed me to share my story with the world, and we’ve reached heights I’d never even dreamed were possible. “I’m so thankful for our time together and everything they made possible for me,” Lambert continued, “yet I wouldn’t be true to myself if I wasn’t constantly looking for the next challenge and a new way to stretch my creativity. With that in mind, I’ve decided to say goodbye to my Sony family. I can’t wait to see what the next adventure holds.”

It’s a three-part narrative that reflects on universal similarities, despite distance and language.While it doesn’t mention Ukraine specifically, the song ends with Paisley and Zelenskyy in conversation, recorded during a video call.

Tonight’s MPTF’s telethon on KTLA raised $858,493 for Hollywood’s 101-year-old charitable organization – exceeding the $750,000 that it had targeted. Jeff Bridges, who was one of the many stars who appeared on the show, noted that the MPTF is in “dire straits” due to the extraordinary Covid-19 expenses it’s racked up over the last three years.

The Motion Picture & Television Fund’s star-packed telethon Lights, Camera, Take Action! airs live Saturday on KTLA beginning at 7 p.m. It hopes to raise at least $300,000 to defray some of the $9 million in direct Covid expenses it’s racked up over the past three years – and to help keep more than 250 residents of the retirement village from having to move out.
