HBO have shared the first teaser trailer for The Idol – the forthcoming drama series created by “the sick and twisted minds of” The Weekend (aka Abel Tesfaye) and Euphoria helmer Sam Levinson.Tesfaye will star in the series as a self-help guru, club owner and leader of a modern-day cult, who begins dating an up-and-coming pop artist played by Lily-Rose Depp. Little else is known about the story driving The Idol, but according to its trailer, the series will chronicle “the sleaziest love story in all of Hollywood”.Across just over a minute of footage, viewers are presented with an onslaught of sex, drugs, violence, corruption, choreographed dancing and the declaration that “there’s nothing about [Depp’s as-yet-unnamed character] that’s relatable”.

Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie co-created the series and will also star alongside Emma Stone.Bernsen is known for his Emmy-nominated performance as Arnie Becker in the NBC legal drama “LA Law” as well as for playing Henry Spencer in the popular USA Network series “Psych.” He will next be seen in a season-long arc in the third season of the Showtime series “City on a Hill.” He has also starred in films like the “Major League” franchise, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang,” and “Shattered.” He is repped by A3 Artists Agency and Randy James Management.

One of the last times these two actors were seen together was for the 2005 premiere of the prequel . In the latest spinoff series, McGregor and Christensen reprise their roles as the titular Jedi Master and his former apprentice, Anakin Skywalker, who became Darth Vader by the end of the third prequel film, as the story picks up 10 years later. The two actors were also joined by director Deborah Chow and breakout Moses Ingram, who plays an Inquisitor named Reva and looks to be a badass addition to the live-action franchise. In a behind-the-scenes look at the series, McGregor acknowledged longtime fans’ anticipation for a reunion between Kenobi and Vader.

HBO series from The Weeknd and Euphoria creator Sam Levinson is undergoing an overhaul, according to reports.In a statement released on Monday (April 25), HBO said the series, titled The Idol, is “adjusting” its cast and crew to serve a new direction.“The Idol’s creative team continues to build, refine, and evolve their vision for the show and they have aligned on a new creative direction,” a statement reads.“The production will be adjusting its cast and crew accordingly to best serve this new approach to the series. We look forward to sharing more information soon.”According to Variety, director Amy Seimetz (The Killing) has departed the project.

Disney+ has moved the premiere date for its next Star Wars series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Originally set for May 25, the streamer has pushed it back two days to May 27, the Friday before Memorial Day weekend, with a two-episode launch.

"Star Wars" fans were in for a treat on Wednesday when Disney+ released its first official trailer for the new series, "Obi-Wan Kenobi".  The show consists of six episodes of live action, which is set to be released on May 25.This iconic date for the "Star Wars" franchise happens to be the 45th anniversary of the original movie, which was released back in 1977.  Ewan McGregor will reprise his role of the wise space wizard, with Hayden Christensen returning to inhabit the sinister life-support suit of Darth Vader. The full cast consists of Moses Ingram, Joel Edgerton, Bonnie Piesse, Kumail Nanjiani, Indira Varma, Rupert Friend, O'Shea Jackson Jr., Sung Kang, Simone Kessell and Benny Safdie.  The series was directed by Deborah Chow, who also serves as an executive producer alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Michelle Rejwan, Ewan McGregor, and Joby Harold.

Murphy will be surrounded by an A-list ensemble, including Emily Blunt as biologist and botanist Kitty Oppenheimer, Matt Damon as Manhattan Project director Leslie Groves Jr.
