Jamie Foxx has been hospitalised due to a “medical complication”.The news was shared by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, yesterday (April 12) on Instagram – although further details on what happened to the actor remain sparse.“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery,” the post read, showing white writing on a black background.“We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers.

Yossman Jamie Foxx has been hospitalized in Atlanta following a “medical complication” his family revealed late Wednesday evening. “We wanted to share that my father Jamie Foxx experienced a medical complication yesterday,” Foxx’s daughter, Corinne Fox, posted in a statement on Instagram. “Luckily due to quick action and great care he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.”  The nature of the medical complication was not disclosed. Diaz came “out of retirement” for the project, her first in almost a decade.

Cameron Diaz was in hot pursuit on the water while driving a speed boat during Back in Action filming in London over the weekend.

Bell recalled reading an article in The New Yorker about Tyler Thackray, the creator of Instagram account @violintorture, who experiments with violins by altering them. Once, he even placed a beehive inside a violin to see if the bees would populate it. This would become the integral instrument Bell used in the film’s score. Bell wanted to track down the instrument, or at least try. He explains, “I emailed him and said, ‘I’m doing this movie. It’s wacky and fun. I think it would be crazy to use that violin, do you still have it?’”

EXCLUSIVE: Ripley, an upcoming Showtime drama starring Andrew Scott, has found a new home at Netflix. Deals are still being finalized but the limited series from The Night Of’s Steven Zaillian, based on Patricia Highsmith’s bestselling quintet of Tom Ripley novels, is headed to the global streamer, I hear. K.J. Yossman Bella Ramsey, the star of Lena Dunham’s recent feature “Catherine, Called Birdy,” has signed with CAA, Variety can exclusively confirm. In “Catherine, Called Birdy,” which won rave reviews at Toronto International Film Festival last month, Ramsey plays 14-year-old Birdy, who is coming of age in medieval England where her fate is to be married off to any of the potential suitors her father has in mind – Birdy, meanwhile, has other ideas. Joe Alwyn and Andrew Scott also star in the film, which recently hit Prime Video following a theatrical release. Ramsey also appeared in HBO’s “Game of Thrones” as Lyanna Mormont, the head of the House of Mormont following her mother’s death and the first to declare Jon Snow king of the North during the gathering of the lords at Winterfell.

Big Little Lies producer Bruna Papandrea’s production company, Made Up Stories, is expanding with a new UK office run by Sarah Harvey, who has joined the company as a producer and creative director. Harvey officially began her new position in August.

The 36-year-old star has directed the new comedy film 'Catherine Called Birdy', and Lena has been determined to give the cast "a lot of freedom". Lena - whose movie features the likes of Bella Ramsey, Andrew Scott, Billie Piper, Russell Brand and Joe Alwyn - explained: "My goal with directing is always to have a really clear sense of what I want to do visually and then be able to also, within that, give the actors a lot of freedom.

Prince William told funeral workers in Windsor that he got “choked up” seeing Paddington Bear tributes to the Queen as he carried out his first engagement since her funeral. Guests in attendance included Tilda Swinton, star of Joanna Hogg’s “The Eternal Daughter”; Gina Prince-Bythewood, director of “The Woman King”; Darren Aronofsky, director of “The Whale”; and Anna Kendrick, who’s in Toronto shopping her new AGC Studios project “The Dating Game” to market buyers. Stars mingled on a packed rooftop before convening in the club’s private dining room, which gathered around 100 of the festival’s bright lights in filmmaking. They dined on a bespoke Soho House menu of beef tartare with black truffle, black cod and bok choy, and wagyu rib cap with porcini purée.

Lena Dunham, will make its world premiere at the 47th Toronto International Film Festival in September. Bella Ramsey (“Game of Thrones”) takes on the titular role of Lady Catherine (better known as “Birdy”) in the adaptation of Karen Cushman’s 1995 novel.
