Michelle Williams says Jeremy Strong helped raise her daughter

Succession star in 2004 at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, recalled how Strong moved into her home after Heath Ledger, Williams’ partner and Matilda’s father, died.“Jeremy was serious enough to hold the weight of a child’s broken heart and sensitive enough to understand how to approach her through play and games and silliness,” Williams told Variety. She added: “[Matilda] didn’t grow up with her father, but she grew up with her Jeremy and we were changed by his ability to play as though his life depended upon it, because hers did.”Williams also commented on the 2021 New Yorker profile of Strong in which he discussed method acting, saying it differs from the person she knows.“We’ve all been in awe of his talent,” Williams said. “We’ve watched him work harder than anyone and wait a long time for other people to recognise it.

Brent Lang Executive Editor of Film and MediaLerner & Loewe’s “Camelot,” that oft-old story of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table, will return to Broadway featuring a new book by Aaron Sorkin. That creative change may mean that Lancelot and Queen Guinevere will be doing a lot more walk and talks than they did in the original 1960 production or the 1967 film version. The revival, the first since 1993, is being produced by Lincoln Center Theater and will reunite Sorkin with director Bartlett Sher, his collaborator on the mega-hit stage version of “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Lincoln Center says the show has been “reimagined for the 21st century.” Presumably it will still boast the same swooning, soaring, irresistibly hummable music.

The Oscars welcomed three hosts this year in Amy Schumer, Wanda Sykes and Regina Hall. But it was Schumer who got the first monologue of the night, and she roasted as many people in the room as she could. To start, the comedian threw a dig at the Oscars as a whole, joking that “The only place I could think of that would be better than this would be … home.” Schumer joked that home is where her family — and her pills — are, before turning her attention to more specific targets.Of course, not all of her subjects enjoyed Schumer’s targeting.
