A 14-year-old girl was arrested in Maryland for allegedly pulling a knife during a caught-on-camera school lunchroom brawl.  Video showed the girl drawing what authorities said was a large 8-to-10-inch kitchen knife during a fight inside the cafeteria at Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland, on Friday.  According to the Frederick County Sheriff's Office, School Resource Officer Deputy 1st Class Dustin Turner witnessed two girls fighting in the lunchroom and immediately intervened when one was seen holding the knife in a "threatening manner."  Girl, 14, pulls large knife at Thomas Johnson High School in Frederick, Maryland. Actress Sophie Winkleman, best known for her role in the comedy series Peep Show, stood alongside her royal relatives on Monday as they attended the Queen’s funeral to bid her majesty a final farewell. The 42 year old star is married to Lord Frederick Windsor, the son of the Queen’s cousin Prince Michael of Kent, and appeared alongside him at Westminster Abbey on Monday.The couple also attended the vigil at the Lying-In-State over the weekend.

American Prophet: Frederick Douglass in His Own Words (★★★☆☆), in its world-premiere production at Arena Stage, wisely draw directly from the source for their expansive, though not exhaustive, biography of the great abolitionist, author, publisher, statesman, escaped slave, and public speaker.The bulk of Douglass’ lines and lyrics in the show are words that the man either spoke or wrote, interpreted and interpolated fluidly by book writers Charles Randolph-Wright and Marcus Hummon.Randolph-Wright also directs, while Grammy-winner Hummon composed music and lyrics for the score, which floats between R&B, pop, and gospel influences, but stays too comfortably within theater conventions.The music doesn’t start down the most adventurous path. Opening with Douglass plaintively singing “What Does Freedom Look Like?” feels way too obvious.The follow-up number, “Going to the Great House,” turns out to be a sharply satirical subversion of happy-dancing-slave tropes, but then shifts into a sober — and, again, very on-the-nose — “Wade in the Water,” complete with choreography reminiscent of Alvin Ailey’s “Revelations.”Fortunately, the show goes bolder in its characterization of Frederick Douglass.

While initially unconfirmed, the man in the video believed the rumors to be true when he saw Cruise himself, and the actor happily waved at gathered fans.The video shows Cruise getting into a helicopter and heading up toward the mountains.

Bhagavan “Doc” Antle, a subject of the hit Netflix documentary has been charged with federal money laundering crimes, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.The US Attorney's Office of South Carolina issued a press release on Monday announcing that Antle and a co-defendant, Antle's employee and business associate Omar Sawyer, have both «been charged in a federal complaint with money laundering crimes involving more than $500,000.»«The complaint alleges that over the last four months, Antle and Sawyer laundered $505,000 in cash they believed to be the proceeds of an operation to smuggle illegal immigrants across the Mexican border into the United States,» the release announced.The pair are accused of laundering money and then concealing the laundered income by «inflating tourist numbers at the Myrtle Beach Safari.»The duo were arrested on Friday by the Horry County Sheriff's Office following an investigation by the FBI, and are currently detained.

Paramount Pictures shared the epic teaser for the upcoming installment for the spy franchise – and it has everything. Cruise, who returns as Ethan Hunt, is seen riding a horse in the desert, fighting in clubs, getting into (multiple) car chases, running along the top of a moving train, running through alleyways, running through a candle lit pathway, and riding his motorcycle off a cliff. In addition to Cruise, stars Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Henry Czerny, Rob Delaney, Cary Elwes, Indira Varma, Mark Gatiss, Charles Parnell, Greg Tarzan Davis and Frederick Schmidt.The first teaser for the seventh installment in the popular franchise comes after it was revealed in January that this film as well as the upcoming eighth sequel will be delayed due to complications of shooting both movies during the ongoing pandemic. Despite a new 2023 release date, the film is not done yet.
