Rebecca Rubin Film and Media Reporter Blue Fox Entertainment has acquired North American rights to “Aristotle and Dante Discover the Secrets of the Universe,” a queer coming-of-age story about two teens who form a special bond after a chance meeting one summer. The sale comes a few months after its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. Blue Fox is planning a wide theatrical release of the film this summer, though the exact date has yet to be determined. Blue Fox’s international division is handling the international sales. “It’s rare when a best-selling book, talented crew, amazing director and cast all come together to create a ‘must see’ film, and we are very proud to bring ‘Aristotle and Dante’ to audiences across the U.S.,” said Blue Fox executive James Huntsman.

Documents from the Florida Department of Transportation released Friday reportedly show that the state has paid nearly $1 million to arrange two sets of flights, carrying approximately 100 migrants who had entered the country illegally, to Delaware and Illinois. A group of roughly 30 Venezuelan migrants were surprised to learn that they will be returned to Mexico under a new Department of Homeland Security policy announced on Wednesday.  Fox News correspondent Griff Jenkins approached the migrants in Eagle Pass, Texas, shortly after they were apprehended on Thursday.  "Did you know Venezuelans will be returned to Mexico now?" Immigration activist groups are expressing their concern with the Biden administration’s announcement that it will start expelling Venezuelans to Mexico using the Title 42 public health order -- reducing entry pathways to a limited parole program. The Department of Homeland Security announced Wednesday that it is launching a new large-scale border enforcement operation with Mexico that includes increased checkpoints, a surge in resources and a crackdown on human smuggling.  The administration also announced that all Venezuelans entering the U.S.

The life of a new Colorado deputy came full circle last week at her graduation from the sheriff's academy. A Facebook post by the Escondido Police Department in California shared the heartwarming moment one of its veteran officers traveled to Colorado for the pinning ceremony of the new deputy, whom he saved as a baby. In November 2000, Escondido officer Jeff Valdivia responded to a home in south Escondido to assist state parole with a search, the department said.
