Consequence of Sound has announced Angel from Maywood: A Livestream Tribute to John Prine. The homage to Prine, who died earlier this week, will feature performances by the Decemberists' Colin Meloy, Kevin Morby, the Mountain Goats’ John Darnielle, Grace Potter, Norah Jones, the Head and the Heart, Lake Street Dive, and more. The tribute will stream on Saturday, April 11 at 2 p.m. Eastern on CoS’ Instagram account.

Iggy Pop has announced new 2xCD reissues of his classic albums The Idiot and Lust for Life. In addition to remastered versions of the original albums, the reissues feature bonus live discs: Live at The Rainbow Theatre, recorded at London’s Finsbury Park in 1977, and TV Eye Live, respectively.

Founded in Richmond, Virginia, in 2014 and now based out of New York City, the label has released music by an expansive range of artists, including the psych-jazz outfit Crumb, the indie rockers Vundabar, and the Virginia rapper McKinley Dixon. They’ve also reissued records by the emo math-rock project Peaer and the off-kilter electronic experimentalist Body Meat.

Avant-garde composer and live electronic music pioneer Richard Teitelbaum has died, as NPR reports. According to his wife, classical pianist Hiroko Sakurazawa, he suffered a stroke. He was 80 years old.
