Norwegian actress Renate Reinsve took the world by storm in 2021 when she starred in, dazzling everyone with her lead appearance in Joachim Trier’s “The Worst Person in the World.” It wasn’t her debut performance, but it sure felt like it and was a major breakthrough nonetheless. Her performance earned her the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress and a nomination for the BAFTA Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and she’s taken off ever since.

Surprise! Filmmaker Steven Soderbergh has another new secret project in the can, his second in half a year. His latest, never publicly announced, is a mystery thriller called “Presence,” which will make its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2024.

Earlier today, the lineup was finally announced for the 2024 Sundance Film Festival. Once again, Sundance has cemented itself as the premier festival in the U.S.

The Sundance Film Festival is celebrating its 40th anniversary in January and it’s no surprise that some legendary Park City filmmakers are returning with new films for the 2024 edition. The film tracks her rise as a child advertising model to her sexualization in movies, starting at age 12, in “Pretty Baby” (1978), and then at 15, in “The Blue Lagoon” (1980). “I spent my life owing people things and doing whatever they wanted,” Shields says in a new teaser dropped Wednesday morning. “I finally asked myself, ‘What will I be if I don’t allow that anymore?'”
