Ever since Wonder Woman 1984 was announced, the DC fans have been wondering if the movie will be a sequel or a reboot of the 2017 film. The trailer sparked more confusion when it featured Chris Pine’s Steve Trevor, the character who died in the first film.

DC fans absolutely loved the superhero film, which for once focused all its attention towards narrating the story of a female lead, which is why, when it was announced that director Patty Jenkins was working on a sequel, fans were over the moon. They could barely contain their excitement when the creators finally released the film’s trailer. 

"The first movie was a coming of age, it was Diana becoming Wonder Woman. She was very naive and she didn't understand the complexities of life. A fish out of water. In this movie, that's not the case whatsoever. Diana has evolved. She's much more mature and very wise," Gadot told Empire magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
