Cancer patient Laura Nuttall and her mum Nicola have spoken about how their old friend Peter Kay is stepping back into the public eye to help them raise money for treatment.The mother and daughter joined Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on Tuesday's This Morning to tell how they had rekindled an old family friendship with the star who has generously offered to put on a stand-up show after years away from the stage to help them.

Peter Kay has finally announced that he will be making his long-awaited return to performing with two new live shows next month.The Car Share comedian is stepping back into the spotlight as part of a big-hearted charity gesture to fundraise for Laura Nuttall, a 20-year-old who was diagnosed with an aggressive form of brain tumour in 2018. Peter had previously tried to make a comeback to live performing which was thwarted by the first coronavirus lockdown.
